Leveling kit question

First post here guys so hello all!!! I did do some searching and have found some mixed reviews.

2005 Tacoma that I'm looking to do a level on. I was thinking of running 5100 (front and rear because I need new struts anyways) and adjusting them to the level I want. I would continue to run my stock springs too. But I've seen some post saying to go different routes. So thoughts, suggestions, ideas, tips?

 

Itll work just fine..... fwiw only the fronts are adjustable.

If u have a trd offroad, it may be pretty stiff using 5100s, but thats subjective and dependent on how high u go.

 

Honestly I'm not sure if I have a sport or off-road.... Kind of embarrassing haha. Is there a better route to go that will keep it smooth or less stiff?

 

Do u have a power outlet in the bed of the truck?
Do u have black mirrors or color matched?
Do u have chrome rear bumper or color matched?

 

If u dont have the outlet in the bed of the truck, u dont have a trd anything

 

No scoop, but I do have the outlet and the electronic locker. And I guess I could have just looked at the side of truck lol

 

U have a trd offroad....progressive coils. Firmer ride when preloaded via 5100s.

 

Is there a better option? I'm quoted at $370 for the 5100s of course I'll do the install?

 

Depending on how much u wanna lift the front.

Eibach/toytec coils will get approx 1.6" of lift... maybe 1.75" since ur an access cab... use the 5100s with these (or another lift coil of ur choice) and leave the 5100s set for zero lift.... let the coils do the lifting.

And a 1/4" top plate lean spacer.
The stock coils are side specific

Measure the front to rear difference.... theres ur needed lift for leveling.

 

Also 1 of these for the driver side lean..... stock coils are side specific, aftermarket are not.

Hey thanks man! So I think I got a plan now. And I think I'm 1.75 in difference between the front and rear so this will work out good.

 

So I went ahead and finally got around to doing new toytec springs and 5100s all the way around. Set the springs at the second clip to get "about" .085 from the strut and 1.75 from the spring. It sits a touch high but over all I'm happy with it. But I drove about 4 miles to get much needed drink after and there is a clunk now. Any ideas? I torqued everything to spec and overall it was a simple job. Dropped the lower arm to make life easy and I'll get a alignment tomorrow first thing. Anyone else ever have the clunk?
