does anyone know the weight limit when stepping on the rear bumper? Or is it even okay to use the rear bumper as a step to get into the bed?

    Yes...

The bumpers are tow rated to 3500lbs so you should be good. If you look behind the bumper cover you'll see a class III hitch.

Nobody asked this man how much he weighs. That's just setting up an awkward situation. :p

I also use the rear tire as a step.

The stock bumper is rated for 350lbs trailer tongue weight, so I'll guess that anyone who can get a leg up to the bumper step should be just fine. :)

Yep, 350lb tongue weight. I'm not sure what that translates to at the corner of the bumper, but I have a very large friend (300lbs) who would hop on it all the time. Then again, he would also sit on the tailgate and change his boots, which was well beyond the rated limit of the tailgate. I know this goes against everything I learned in engineering, but a truck is a truck. If it fits on the bumper, it goes on the bumper. If it fits in the bed, it rides in the bed. That's just my personal approach though, not one I would advocate without the anonymity of the internet :D. It's probably not good advice.

Maximum tongue weight doesn't translate to maximum weight of person standing on bumper.

No kidding, because standing on the bumper is a static load, which will be *considerably higher* than allowable tongue weight. It'll probably hold a thousand pounds of static load.

People who do weigh on the cusp of that amount are not capable of self movement. They are bed ridden.
