It's just a pre-season game but nice defensive game by LA. Quick with another SO and Sutter puts another Sutter in the lineup.

 

That's where you should stop. Nothing in the preseason matters.

 

Nothing except keeping the right people on the big league roster. However, it's always a good game when the ducks get shut-out.

 

Even better, when the Oilers beat the kings. haha

 

It appears that right now, the Pens are stacked at the goalie position. Interested to see how this unfolds as the year goes on. Aside from the obvious 2, we have 2 other great prospects in the pipeline. It almost makes me think that would sway GM to stick with MAF and consider moving Murray. Either way, I'll hate to see 1 of those guys go. I guess it isn't a terrible problem to have though.

Ask Ottawa about dumping a goalie because they had a good number one and a great prospect on the way. It didn't work out.

 

We had a few recent ones that didnt pan out too well

Looked like Pearson was protecting himself while going for the puck ... bottom line is keep your head up around the puck and entering opponent's zones.

 

Or, you know, the player could try aiming for the body not the head. The objective of body checking is to separate the player from the puck, not his head from his body. Aim for the center of mass and then you don't have to worry about clipping them in the head.
