Thanks for the reply Janster. That's the most solid info on this I've seen. Made me feel better about the ordeal.

Old thread, but I thought I might as well ask my question here.
I just bought a cheap 2005 that Toyota is going to replace the frame for free. (Only reason I bought it) with the rental, is there a limit to mileage? I drive a lot for work, and the service manager quoted me 8 months for the frame replacement as they are waiting a long time for frames. In 8 months I'll put 20k miles on a vehicle for work.

BTW, Toyota Canada states you have until December 31st 2016 to have your frame inspected and either coated or replaced as necessary. So Canadians, get your taco's in to your local dealer soon!

Probably up to the dealer. I don't know if they are required to give you a loaner.

I already have been informed I'll get a rental. A friend up the street has had a 4 door Nissan Frontier for a couple months already, all free.

Just wondering if it's unlimited mileage. My dealer is pretty reasonable, and I buy a new truck every 39 months from them, so they usually treat me decent. I'll find out in a few days, just thought someone on here might know.
