I'm pretty sure those brakes won't fit with 16's. Go to Stop Tech's website and download the correct template and see for yourself.

On a side note, I know someone that has a set of 17's with tires... ;)

@ffdawson, I have such soft pedal, I periodically look for something to replace the stock brakes. I'm not sure the 2 g's solution is worth it...yet.

yeah, I feel like my truck is a tank, and doesn't really stop all that well. But it helps that its a 6 spd, and I kinda drive it like a grandma. I would like some better pedal feel, but 2k is out of my league. (he says while searching for a new $2k rear bumper and new $2k re-gear lol)

yeah, honsestly that's my reason for all of this, the wife and I rented a travel trailer and took a lil road trip, now shes head over heels for a trailer. Im not super stoked on the idea, but the reality is that we'll get out more often if we have one. With the two little kiddos we're pretty limited to summer months for camping in the RTT and even that's a stretch...

So im in the market for a 16-22 ft travel trailer... and I've got a lead on one in san diego that I may be picking up next week.

But the upside is I can mod my truck more to improve towing :) gears, brakes, a dual swingout instead of my single swingout so we can access the truck bed while hooked up...

do you have stainless brake lines up front. I have heard that the stiffen up the brake peddle, I put on power stop extreme towing kit on the front helped alot for stopping the 20ft boat. and im thining of swapping the front lines to stainless but kinda on the fence on that one.

stainless, better fluid and pads is the usual start before dumping real dough. I think I remember seeing something about tundra brake conversions for our 2nd gens.

I don't. I do have the EBC slotted rotors and pads. That didn't make much of a difference at all.

this is why i went with powerstop, i read a lot of mixed reviews on EBC, I have zero experience with them. maybe try new lines up front and flush the fluid with new.

Really? I've heard nothing but good things about going from stock brakes to the EBC stage 5. As long as you do a proper break in on the kit its a night and day difference. (plus steel braided brake lines as well)

I have the Falken AT3W in 285/75/17's. I love the size and think it is perfect for our size trucks (my Tundra is just slightly bigger than a 2nd gen). I did see the Cooper ST Maxx is available as well as the Nitto Ridge Grappler.

Ive been looking at those ridge grapplers. They look like a nice tire. Another one is the Toyo ATll extreme and th STmaxx as posted already.

Not a whole lot of options in that size. Been looking for that size for myself

Yeah and most are AT's, which is fine for me, but sucks if you want an MT.

I like the AT2's but I feel like the ST maxx is much more aggressive for what I want. Contemplating keeping the 16s with some 295/75 street tires and then getting some SCS beadlocks in 17 with ST Maxx in 285/75/17

Yeah those and KM2's are the only MT option I have seen.
