Here's a pic of how it sits with the hood up, and of all the crap the rain left on my hood today:

There's some more pics of the passenger-side bracket in this write-up I did when I installed it: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ham-radio-antenna-install.432754/

888's are meant for light load. Winch or bumper, not both. Since I'm running a hybrid bumper, much lighter than a full one and a winch with synthetic line, should be perfect for my application

Dunno if the sr5 wheels are actually worth something. I have the same wheels and want to get the gunmetal trd pro wheels eventually. The stock sr5 Toyo tires are crap in the rain. I'm imagining they'll be worse this winter.

Forgot to add, once my brother saw my setup he started looking into getting a hood bracket for his 4Runner because it's much more solid than the lip mount that he's using.

You just want a different color or is something wrong with the black one? Damn that black one looked great with the TRD wheels on it and the white walls out. Very sharp. The other wheels look good too but the first set-up you had was my favorite.

What kind of mods you got planned for the the quicksand?

I sometimes regret going with the appearance package since I didn't do the premium entune one. I think all I get are the rims upgrade and I would prefer to spend that money towards TRD rims if I had the choice.

I finally got her back. It's been about 3 weeks and only had her for a few days in between service stays

    Replaced the license plate bulbs

Yeah honestly there were 2 reasons why I wanted a new truck.. 1. I wanted to change the color.. Black is such a hard color to take care of. And I'm really picky with paint and scratches and what not. And I feel that a Quicksand Tan color Tacoma will be 1000x easier to up keep that color compared to black.. But not only that my current Tacoma is only a 4x2. When I first bought the truck I didn't think I would be into off roading and what not. But I really got into it. I live where there's lots of trails and and places to go off-roading which is kind of hard being a 4x2 I tend to get stuck once and a while. I use the truck around the ranch and when it rains I get stuck in mud... So one of the biggest things is that I want a 4x4 so I can actually go out and use the truck how I want. But that's the only reasons why I decided to get a new truck.

And thanks! I apperciate the kind words. I definetly like the way the TRD wheels look with the white letters showing. But I felt that I wanted something a little different. So I decided to go with the bronze wheels.. i didn't really like them at first but they've really grown on me. But I did like the look of the matte grey TRD wheels.

When I get the QS Tacoma I might just throw the wheels on there bronze. I ran across this QS tan tundra pro with bronze TEs and I'm kinda liking the way it looks. So I might do the same on my Tacoma. As far as the mods.. I have a TRD pro Tacoma grill and TRD pro skid plate just sitting in my garage as well as a King suspension 3in lift so I'll be doing the "regular" mods on the new Tacoma  and little tid bits here and there

FYI, license plate bulbs are on the exterior, at the rear of the vehicle. You sure you got the right ones?

    And in Missouri too.

Not a very good mounting location for us right-handers though.
