Think I'm going to stick with 16s and go 285 next. Figure out something after that if it doesn't perform well.

 

Probably where it will end up in a few years.

 

285 is a great size and really common if you're in a pinch looking for a replacement.

I'll run 35s when I pull off a SAS truck project someday. Perhaps the purple parts truck's future

 

Must say I'm constantly tempted by 35s, but I'd never be satisfied with my 4.88s. Also don't really want to tub.


In reality, the difference between a 285 and a 295 won't really make a noticeable difference in performance.

 

What is the width and height of a 295? 285 is 12.4 and 32.8

 

If you are looking for blemmed scs just pm him. Seriously awesome guys and i got a 5th one for a full sized spare and i can not find what is "blemmed" about it.

 

Agreed, I'd be fine with running 285 again after the 295. But i probably won't haha. Plus Boss ran Shoshone on small tires and with no skids and a small lift. Lots to be said about just making it work!

 

I'm on the waiting list for the bronze as we speak. He has 4 blemish Ray 10 gunmetal, but I like the bronze better

 

Mine are 33" exactly mounted on a rim just sitting on the ground not on the truck. But tire rack says they're 33.4...

 

295 will rub the frame more due to the width.

Thats all though.

Yea 35s are sweet...but definitely need 5.29s for that shit. And tubbing sucks asssssss

So sweet on the trails though. I love wheeling Frank. Just point it and let it go. Barely have to steer.

 

Tire size's are such a huge can-o-worms.

I usually just go by converting metric to imperial but still know that doesn't reflect what the actual size will be.

295 is the width in mm - so 11.6"
75 is the aspect ratio so 11.6x.75 = 8.71"
8.71x2 to account for the sidewall on both sides of the wheel = 17.42
add the height of the wheel 17.42+16 = 33.42"

Sadly, this means nothing to what the tire will actually measure.

 

Do you know if those gunmetal blems are 16s?
