Nice project! Been on my list to do the same for awhile. Just to many other projects taking my time and money right now.

@Smar969905 the Monroe show has always been weak. Just not the crowds so vendors don't bother traveling that far. Puyuallup is better but not overly worth it unless you just want to kill time on a weekend these days. Used to be able to go and get good deals. Now the good deals are usually done Friday night/Saturday morning between vendors so the public never sees them. Or so I'm told by the dealer I use that used to do the shows.

Only reason for Monroe was because I was living in Lake great the time, so puyallup was a long drive

I've never been in that area. I need to start exploring the north side more. Been to Walker, that's about it.

so many toys to want and can't get them all! ugh. I'm starting to play different music on guitar(country) and pulled out my old Telecaster and now I want a Fender Twin Reverb amp. I already have two tube amps though and no space! Not making much progress on saving for regear and 35's. Maybe I should just stop putting money into an IFS truck.

Nothing terribly exciting. Front and rear axle fully rebuilt and painted. Frame is almost ready to go get blasted and powder coated. Previous owner oxy welded crap on so sucks having to cut it off. Which I've had to cut lots of the old exhaust hangers, the t-case cross member mount, front leaf spring hangers, and quite a few extra bits used for support on bolted on thing like the power steering. Then welding old holes I don't need closed. So lots of crap work as I like to call it.

I did get a new transmission though. A four speed h42 that I'm just putting new gasket and seals in and repainting.

Working 12s during the week on a 4am to 4pm schedule so really don't feel like doing much after work. Then weekends have been busy so finding time has mostly been an hour here and an hour there.

Trying to find a relatively easy place to take my wife and 3yo camping for the first time.
    - As close to everett as possible
    - Good view, overlooking something or on a stream/lake etc
    - Could be an established camp site

    Thanks!

Ive got her on board to get a RTT (YEESSSSSSS) so I want this trip to be fun so she wants to go again, but still show how a RTT would make it that much better heh heh

And if this goes well, then it will be time to debate the SMittybuilt RTT, TuffStuff with annex, or CVT....decision decisions....and no more money heh heh

I was thinking about NF 24... thanks! Any specific spots on NF 24 you can recommend or PM?

I want to stay away from Beckler, hwy 2 because the traffic always sucks coming back.

Not that impressive looking lol. And man the cords and stuff on the floor make it look way messier than it is!

And the H42. Not bad looking for being from either a '76 or '78 (guy wasnt 100% sure) so a ~38 year old transmission

Looks terrible but it sure did work! The exhaust still makes me laugh though. Welded from the headers all the way to the tail pipe and fixed hangers. IE no way to remove it. Plus running the crossover pipe right next to the oil drain plug making it so the only way to drain oil was to pour the oil all over the exhaust pipes.

@mutilatedjak I don't know off the top of my head if overnight parking is allowed, but Big 4 ice caves could be a place to go. It offers an easy hike that you could let the little one walk part of, then carry him/her for most. I want to say it's about 4 miles round trip of "hiking". Paved parking area, then camp in the truck. It is about 30 miles east of granite falls. There are other hiking areas where it should be easier to park and camp along there as well.
You might be able to find something at My Pilchuck as well.
