if i bought a taco i think i would buy the 2nd gen... but i havent really researched much, but if toyota phases out the BOF 4runner in 15 yeasrs when im looking for a "new" ride i would prolly buy a taco.

I also almost punched the Toyota service punk when I asked that they fix the XM too and he tried to tell me that they can't do that.

Not sure to be honest. The service guy I spoke with seemed to be sure it was just the battery(and spoke to me as if I was a child)but also said it would only take 30 minutes to test and it's been 2 hours. We will see. I also didn't get a loaner and was told I wouldn't until they found the problem and then determined if my warranty covers it.

 

Body on Frame, there are so many rumors that toyota is going to make the next gen of 4runners unibody............. the horror......

well i hope they determine the issue. How old is the battery? the one that came in it from the factory?

Why would they? That's what they have the highlander and rav4 for... Toyota's suv line up is redundant as fuck, as it is, but they can't have more than 2 trucks!

 

I have a terrible temper so i'm actively trying to be more calm.

I just bought it used 2 months ago so there's a good chance it is and just gave up finally.

now that really sucks...

i bought mine used exactly 2 years ago now, and when i bought it i had just purchased an optima for the car i traded in to get the 4runner. I had it included in the deal that i would change the battery out for the recently purchased optima. have had 0 issues with the optima.

have had no issues to date that have required dealership services. I am sorry that you have had to go to the dealership at all. I hate the dealerships...
