Yeahhh... Would be sweet, but a RTT on a sick ass off-road trailer is still a RTT...

You don't wanna know what we're dropping on the damn travel trailer...

The long and short of it is... At this point in our lives, (3 year old and 3 month old kiddos) the "roughing it" lifestyle isn't really practical... So for the next few years, we'll be doing a different type of camping.

The benefit however, is that while camping on the trail is out, there is plenty of opportunity to camp at an improved site, then do day wheeling trips.

So at the end of the day if it gets us out more often then it's worth it

The RockBox didn't seem all that expensive. The kit is around 5 grand and goes on up to 10. The Turtleback starts at 17 and goes north from there.

And @ffdawson, however you get the fam bam out is what counts. Who knows, you might even learn to like the trailer life-they have cocktail hour and party lights...

I guess I haven't been shopping lately because 10 grand seems like a lot for a dinky trailer with a lid and water tank. Don't get me wrong, that was a nice looking little trailer, and I'd love to have one, just seems a tad rich. If I want one I'd need to sell my motorcycle, which isn't an altogether bad idea.

goggle it. there was a lot of reviews that said they wear faster then stock, and they saw little to no difference. I have no experience with them so.I know some brands have a huge TW following but I look at more thi=en just here for reference. I am not saying there bad just what I read.

slow down your not driving a race car. lol
makes since. but im not as heavy on the brakes that I ever notice fade. but I don't drive my truck like a race car as its a fat pig on the road and leans a lot trying to corner with no sway bar.

That's just my daily driving. I don't drive fast at all. I get fading when I'm driving down hill on mountain roads, even worse when I'm towing a trailer.

I blame the heavy tires and truck.

do you down shift, Im surprised with the lower gears you still have that problem. when towing down hill I take it extra slow, my boat trailer has brakes as well, im sure that helps a ton. coming down hill with the boat and fully loaded can be scary. My little pig isn't designed for the shit I put it through. I want a full size just for Towing.

I do shift down. In the auto I'm mostly in 3, but it's a balance between over working the engine and brakes.

Maybe I need to drive someone else's truck and vice versa. I drive so much it's been normal for me, but I don't remember how it was stock.

I'm also super picky about how I think things so that's probably it.
