Sooooooooo it rained yesterday and today for a bit...went to grab lunch with a buddy, got done, was standing in front of the truck and noticed my OEM driver headlight is effin misted over inside with condensation! TF is that crap! Guess I'm getting off my ass to do the retrofit finally

It's pretty common for some very faint condensation to happen with any brand of headlights, no matter how expensive. The humidity levels inside/outside of the light basically just need to neutralize and it'll go away.

They are the OEM lights that came with the truck. Have had the truck for a year with zero issues and through a rainy season lol, no condensation. I'm guessing I cracked the housing somewhere or popped the seal a hair somewhere from mashing it in the sand to much. And it's only that one side...all the seals around the lights on the back look fine with no cracking.

 

Could potentially be as easy as the rubber seal even being slightly loose on the back of the housing, believe it or not.

 

Interesting. Well, regardless, I've got a set of Depo lights still in the box and a giant box of TRS retrofit stuff, both which have been on the shelf for like a year or so now lol, guess I better get around to it!

 

Fair warning, when removing the reflector bowl on the Depo brand head lights: the adjustment bolts were reverse threaded (on my set at least) so do not try to loosen them the normal way (counter-clockwise), otherwise you WILL break the little clips and won't be able to adjust your lights much when it comes time. Trust me. After months of being annoyed by very unequal and not high enough cutoffs, I finally reopened mine and ended up using the Depo clear plastic with the OEM housing and bowls etc.

If I ordered the D2S kit right now, will I get it with the backorder stock and have to wait until actual stock?

 

TRSAndrew do you know when that Bluetooth is coming out for halos?

 

It wouldn't be in the first batch, so you'd unfortunately be waiting just a couple weeks. Definitely recommend ordering as early as possible though!

I have the samples of the circuit boards and the cases in my hands, and I think they'll be entering production in the next few weeks. We definitely want them in hand by our busy season (starts with Thanksgiving).

 

Just ordered the Mini D2S 4.0 kit today for my 01 Tacoma! Will post up pics with output shots when they get installed.

So if I ordered the kit for the discount, I can't include the demon eyes into the code? I saw that 12-15s are getting a package deal with the Fogs and I was really hoping that would be made available for earlier 2nd gens?

 

You should be able to use the code and add the demon eye to it. The discount will be towards D2S kits though. Let us know if that works!
