I went in and placed an order for a pro yesterday, I got the feeling they didn't have a clue what they were doing, and that this going to turn into a total cluster where I'm going to wind up yelling at people, and still not getting a damn thing accomplished. What is the standard wait time for one of these trucks?

I "ordered" a Pro in February. Until your dealer is granted an allocation by Toyota your deposit doesn't mean anything. Find out from your dealer if they have an allocation from Toyota that matches your order.

I'm very happy with the TRDOR that was delivered two weeks ago. I've installed a homelink mirror, black TRD wheels, Clazzio leather seat covers and it works for me just as well as the Pro would for a whole lot less money. I've even come to like the quicksand better than the cement.

Although in the long run I'll probably spend enough on mods to make up the difference.

I ordered a TRD ORLB with lots of options aug 20th and was told it would be "forever." I'm in no hurry. Maybe most of glitches will be resolved.

    Yes. Very likely.

    Welcome.

Unless you've just got to own shiny primer (you didn't mention the color) you can build your own 'pro look' truck for a lot less money.

Sorry, I ordered the white one. I know I could get there, with another truck, I just really liked the pro.

Ya know they were all gung ho- 90 days or less and we'll have it in no problem. Until they got my deposit then they said 3-6 months.

Until the truck gets here? Or until I get the build date?

Within the week, we had a tentative date of the 10th when I ordered. This was an allocated truck that we submitted changes to, to make it my own and what I wanted.

The build date stays tentative until the actual start though. So it may get pushed back tomorrow, but it has been scheduled to start build on the 5th for about 3 weeks.

Additionally, the dealer can see updates on the progress, or stations the truck is at. So they are emailing me updates as the truck progresses.

At this rate, the truck you "ordered" will not be here until 2018. What will probably happen is that when the nest shipment of pros out of tx comes, the dealer may get one close enough and contact you. Hopefully before Dec.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't just be easier to just search for a Pro that is already at a dealer? Maybe not easier to have to travel a good distance to locate one, but 3-4 months and really no assurance that your dealer will even get a allocation.....

Normal wait time is 3 months for an "order."

Call me a skeptic, but as the Pro isn't a normal production vehicle I'd be surprised if you get it in 3 months.

My truck took 5 months, FWIW.
