Newb... Just ordered a pro

I do love the color, but the price...gakkkkk, spend the extra 8k on aftermarket, you could get lift/rims/tires/sliders/skids and probably front bumper. Just sayin'


side note, is that a frikkin' pinstripe? The dealer needs to be slapped really hard.

 

I thought my wife was going to slap them when they told her how much they would give for her trade-in.

 

The Tundra TRD PROs are going for around another grand around here.

 

Com'on that pinstripe is worth at least $1500.00 on the bump up sticker

 

They break it off in you at this dealership. I had a good friend drive over to Jacksonville and got a much better deal.

 

Jacksonville is where I got my OR at. They seem to always have decent prices and a good selection.

 

MSRP with none of the horseshit on an AT is $43,755 on principal I refuse to pay more.

 

I ordered my Pro on July 30th and picked it up on October 1st. 2 months wait. Dealer said it was the first one they had gotten. Bigger, private Toyota dealership in town has double the volume and had apparently gotten more allocations.

 

What are your impressions with it the short time you have owned your Pro?

 

Well that makes me feel a bit better. I'm going through Boerne, as far as they have told me they haven't had one either.

I locked in a deal near the end of August, and build date was supposed to be Monday the 3rd. Originally started being last Friday, but got pushed out. I will have to contact dealer today to see if there is any new update.

 

Loving it. Only 150 miles so far but it's incredible when compared to my 07. Ready for the tranny to finish its "learning" phase but everything else is perfect.

Tires are definitely first on the list.

 

Pretty sure you can't "order" a pro, they are limited production and allocated to only certain dealers and set quantities, not sure how you guys are ordering them, I would question that. Most dealers can allocate models/builds to their dealer, but the pro should be a different animal, one dealer cant just snag all the allocated pros from another dealer/for that region.

 

So is there any way to find out how many each region is allocated? Are allocations split equally between regions, or is done by how big/ much volume they do? I had a dealer say just come down and we can order one!!! From the info on TW and knowing about the allocations I just have to shake my head....Even the "Truck Champion" does not seem to understand how it works.

 

I have no doubt any dealer would say come on down and we will order. And can I get a deposit on this. Few days later, sorry but it not available but how about ....

 

This exactly. I would start with the big volume stores as they will have more allocations. And at the rate these pros are getting gobbled up I wouldn't hesitate.

 

My dealer told me today that they're allocated based on total dealer volume. They've only gotten 3, and might be getting one more. And they're a high-volume dealer. Also, they have no need to BS me seeing how I already bought a Pro from them last week.

 

Salesman texted me a few hrs ago letting me know the Cement Pro I have a deposit on is due to hit the dealer sometime tomorrow, so it's going to make or break time....
