So, how well does it tow?

My guess, used brakes not engine/down shift and hydroplaned.

 

One pic shows trailer hitting driver side, and the other hits the passenger... Darn colorado forums making shit up to divert tacoma sales.

 

Tacoma tows like crap. And I've only had 2000-2500 on the back of mjne. I'll stick to towing with a truck made for it. And wheeling with my Tacoma

But it's awesome for dragging stuff into the shop.

My theory is that the Tacoma was side swiped by a tractor-trailer or vice versa, from the looks of the long horizontally straight dent on the real right side of the Tacoma.

 

I'm betting no trailer brakes and the tail started wagging the dog coming down that hill

 

If he/she crossed center as it was getting out of control that would also explain the mark on the side of the truck

 

Probability is high. OP needs to fill us in on more details

That long dent looks to be way higher than the center divider, and if the Tacoma got jack-knived and hit the divider on that side, the truck would more than likely be facing against the traffic behind it, and the trailer would be parked horizontally across both lanes. Just a hunch without any real details whatsoever.

 

I vote driving beyond capabilities!!!!!!!!! Big truck no way would have hit the wheels 1st. nothing resembling lug nut gouges. Tacoma driver went 1 way and then another before hitting wall.

 

Probably had nothing to do with the truck or trailer. My vote goes to distracted driving. Maybe texting.

 

I noticed that long dent under the windows and though he may have been pushed into the center rail

 

Doesn't take much to get a trailer out of control. Improper weight balance, hitch height, brakes, wet roads, tire pressure, etc

 

Sometimes front facing cameras flip everything. My bet is that is what happened?
