sumbitch, the police just came and went. Neighbor was plowed, but has agreed to pay for the window. I think he feels pretty bad about it, as he should. Hope he remembers in the morning. I have his number, the officer took all the info down. All is good. I'll drop the pane off tomorrow at the guy I get my glass from and give my neighbor the bill.
On a side note, the officer informed me that even he was not aware of the bb gun law in the city limits, he had to look it up and that's why I got the attitude when I mentioned it.

So did this dude just aim at your window and shoot or just missed whatever target he was aiming at?

I'm betting random ND... for @BDN 's sake.

I wonder if it'd have been a different outcome if it were something larger than a BB/pellet rifle used.

They had a target set up on the fence, aimed at my house. He missed.

I don't even want to think about that. I was literally on the other side, at the deep fryer again of course. I would have had a gut shot and possible 3rd degree burns. Not a good time.

It'd be over before you could get it airborne and focused.

I wasn't aware of it, or I would have said something for sure. I have no tolerance for any projectile being aimed at me or mine. I mean, Archer was standing at the base of the fence, on then other side of the target, watching them just before the window broke. If the dog has been hit, the outcome would have been very different.
Anyway, a face to face with the law should put an end to that sort of thing. :D

I sure hope so. I've told the police that they better be the ones who go talk to the neighbors because it's going to go down much different if I have to go do it. My patience ran out years ago for the same bullshit I've pointed out to said neighbor(s) who chose not to change their behavior.
