is great price when u compare the price of somebody paid $7500 for a trd unit (which i believe is identical)

 

Fuck me, just bought mine last week for $1K more. Wonder if Gadget and the guys at URD will match this price.

 

Where's all the naysayers that were talking smack on this for the last year about price and CARB approval.

I was just browsing there site and was getting ready to email magnuson about CARB status. And saw the update with a resonable price. So tempting, i may just put it on the credit card.

Recommendations: Toyota ECU flash or BullyDog?

 

Yeah, whoever did that is a dumbass. I got mine for $4300 with fit kit shipped to my door before the bandwagon hit

Check with a dealer to make sure they'll reflash, technically its the same design SC, but since it's not a toyota product anymore they might not reflash. Warranty is the same, check first before you throw it on and hope.

 

To me $4300 was worth it. Over 5k was not. I ended up installing it myself and paid $120 for the reflash.

 

I wasn't gonna make a purchase these early but now the price drop $1000 I think I will jump on it

So if you read this thread, when the BD Tuner came out for Tacoma's they promised a boat load of gains, and it seemed like some people were getting them, but then their ECU reverted back to stock and they had to get them retuned every few months. I can't speak for what they are now, maybe they improved the design. I also know at the time no one had done it to a Supercharged truck yet, so we never got a baseline for gains or if the ECU would accept the tuner or not.

 

I highly recommend it while the price is right

Matt how u walk in the dealer and ask for a reflash. I have really good relationship with Toyota dealer but might afraid they dun know what the hell I am talking about. Leaning on open reflash compare to bully dog
