Anyone care to post pics of 5100's set at 0 with eibach springs? thinking of this set up to match my rear TSB..

 

I have the Eibach's on my stock TRD billys. (Check my gallery)

 

how do you like them? are you talking about the blue/yellow billy's?

how much lift do you get in the front?

What color are your springs? and what size tires?

I thought i read a thread on here saying that this setup is not suggested because the stock billy's can't handle the springs or something?

how is the perfromance of your setup?

search around the last toytec group buy thread. That was one of the configurations offered (bilsteins and eibachs).

I run the eibach 1.6 springs and 5100s, but I set my snapring to the second indentation (0.85"). Combined with the lift springs, it gives about 2.4 inches of lift and a very nice ride.

 

anyone else running the eibach with the stock blue/yellow billy's? care to share how it rides?

 

Yes I have the yellow and blue billys that you get when the suspension TSB is done. I have very happy with the setup.

I got about an inch of lift. (pre-runners have gotten 1.6 inches of lift)

I am running 265/75/16's.

 

do you know why the pre runners get a little more lift?

from what i've seen the prerunners aren't as low in the front as 4x4's in stock form...i guess since they have less weight on the front...they seem to only be about 1" lower in the front where as the 4x4's are about 2.5" lower in the front than the rear...the general settings i've seen on here when running 5100s is if you have a prerunner go with 0" and if 4x4 go with .85" setting when running the eibach 1.6" springs...this is after having the tsb done...if no tsb the settings would be different...also reg cabs don't have a tsb for them for those that have a reg cab...if someone has a reg cab it will look like the others after they have the tsb done...about 1" rake on a prerunner and 2.5" rake on a 4x4....i guess there are always variations but just measure and see where you stand

 

I have Eibachs with 5100's set at 0". I also have the Toytec top plate spacer. The spacer is 0.5" thick and is supposed to provide about 0.75" lift. I chose the spacer over moving up the 5100's a notch so that it wouldn't preload the coil. I wanted it to stay as flexy as possible for wheeling. I got just a hair over 2" lift out of this set up. It is basically dead level with my TSB rear.

I'm intending to add aftermarket bumpers and skid plates soon. This will pull the front back down a little and I'll probably move the 5100's up to 0.85". I'm guessing this will put me back up in the 2.5"-2.75" area. Depending on looks, I may or may not do an AAL too.

The set up I have now rides beautifully and gave no issues on alignment with stock UCA's.

 

Maybe, because they have a lighter front end. We pm'd, and yes I'm running stock billies w/ eibach and tsb. There is a little rake, but it works out when I have my quad trailer hooked up. Unfortunately a quad in the bed and trailer hooked up is another story.

My plan is to wait until these stock billies go to shit before I pick up 5100's. I will probably get toytec top plates in the near future.

 

Pre runners have a much lighter front end. They do not have the weight of the transfer case, front differential, and CV axles pulling down on the suspension.

 

I plan on doing the same.

 

It may or may not make a difference or be relevant but something to consider anyway... I sold my blue and yellow billy's with the oem coils (had about 4500 miles on them) for enough money to pay for most of the Eibachs. They sold fast too.

 

Hmm...maybe I can sell them enough to help pay for my 5100's. It is something to consider. Thanks.
