Finally got my new 2010 Taco!!!

Woot! Finally got my new Taco today. 2010 DC 4wd TRD Sport MGM 6speed. After spending all summer trying to decide what I wanted, and having dealer after dealer shut me down on what I needed for my trade-in (08' tC) - I was finally able to get a dealer to give me what I wanted this week.

My main issue is that I get employee discount from one of my parents working at the Toyota plant in KY. As soon as I'd mention that, they wouldn't want to work anything on trade-in. But it's all over, and done with now. My new toy is sitting in my drive way and I couldn't be happier..

Let the mods begin - already ordered a URD Short shifter mod. (no more semi-truck feel for me.. all of 11 miles it has on it so far haha!

 

at least you have a respectable truck! sorry not a scion fan and i know they are part of toyota lol. congrats on the truck, any pictures?

No pictures yet, was dark when I finished everything and got home, still is. But it's 100% stock still, we've all seen what they look like at that stage.

Also - anyone know where the hell that net for the center console is? I'm thinking I didn't get mine with the truck - searched every compartment, nowhere to be found.

 

Mine was in a clear plastic bag in the center console. You better ask your dealer for one, because it sounds like somebody swiped it or forgot to put it in the truck.

 

I have to go back to turn in the other key on my trade anyways, I'll make sure to check on it then. Anything else I should check for? I have the tie-down cleats for the bed, any other loose accessories I should have?

 

My truck was missing 1 tie down cleat and the owners manual. The salesman took them out of another Tacoma for me.

 

Nice. I'm good on those, the cleats are still in the packaging actually, and I read through the manual last night (I'm such a nerd )

 

Nice looking truck... I've got the same truck only black and auto. I live in Stafford, but work in the Springfield area. More northern Virginians on here than I thought! We'll have to put together a mod get together... What dealership did you end up buying from?

Black was my first choice, but couldn't find a 6sp. MGM is a great color though, I'm totally happy. (anything but silver - no offense silver guys)

 

I bought from Koons in Tysons. They were the only place that had anything in stock. I tried going through Ourisman Chantilly Toyota since they are so close to me but they didn't have crap on their lot and the salesman didn't really seem interested in making a sale. So I took my business elsewhere. I picked a bad time to buy though with the transitioning from the 09s to the 10s and with cash for clunkers had just finished up so nobody had replenished their stock.
