@Falldownhard Well first of all, this is pretty radIMG_8679.jpg

I've been tempted by the low price of rebuilt / salvage titles but haven't ever bought one. Some guys have had great experiences and no troubles with theirs. On the other side are plenty of nightmare stories.

Maybe someone here knows the story of that truck? The more you know the better. If the frame was tweaked and not repaired right, it'll cascade into all sorts of issues. If they cut other corners you could have airbags that don't work and any number of problems down the road. It may be a great deal and a great truck, but you really have to do a lot of work to find out as much as you can before deciding to purchase it. You almost can't inspect it too thoroughly.

I've inquired about it, first thing I asked about was the history of the vehicle, as well as the extent of what made it a rebuilt title.

Thanks. Once I get the 35s on there and make sure everything clears, I'm going to put some edge trim on the flares to finish them off.

I thought about that, but I may cut slots in the metal and fold it over to give a smooth edge, then paint it all black.

You could probably take the vin into your bank and ask to speak to someone in the loan department. They can probably dig up some history on the vin. From what I heard, the stuff online is crap as far as vin verification goes, like car fax and such.

You gonna re-gear or just see how how it feels first. I ask cuz I always hear that 35's is the bench mark.

@Dave41079 you and your buddy are more than welcome to come up to Ohio and trim my fenders....that's the part that scares me...because if I do it, and it looks like ass my wife will kick my ass.

Gotcha....I skimmed over your build thread, where did you get the ideas for the scion antenna? From what I can see, it looks pretty cool. You got any better pics of it?

I don't think I have any pictures of it. I just searched around for a stubby antenna. I had to make a stud for it with some screws though, but it's working great.

Maybe I'll give one a try. I have a "original stubby". It's looks awesome, works great for satilite, but horrible for local radio....pretty non existent actually. I'd like to be able to listen to both but not need to have the stock tall ass antenna.
