Well now that it's official, with a release date of 2018, who is in/out? Ford is bringing 4 new SUV/crossovers to market with Bronco being one, and built next to the new Ranger. I can't imagine the Ranger & Bronco having similar styling, as the Bronco has such a rich visual history and personality. The Ranger has been more flexible through its many iterations. I think a 2-door SUV/crossover would HAVE to start in the sub $25k price range. While I don't like the idea of a 4-door Bronco (hello Explorer/Flex/whatever), the 2-door model would be impractical for my application. I rode in many Bronco and Bronco IIs during my childhood, and it was never very fun sitting in back.

In the truck world for sure. Look at a mid 80's Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge. They all looked identical.

That is laughably absurd. Looks like part of a $3 military playset at the dollar store.

All the renderings out there are from a forum group, right? Nothing official from ford since the prototype back in 2002.

Reminds me of the 1st Gen Chevy Tahoe and JMC Yukon too. 91-98, I think?

Sounds like the new Ranger and Bronco will be built in the same Factory, so I would assume they will share as much as possible as far as Frames and Drivetrains.

I wonder if the bronco will have a solid axle? Or share suspension with the ranger and have ifs.

If it looked like that the only people who buy it are gonna be the ones who also did this.

I just don't see it being like the Everest as they already have the Explorer and Edge of the same size, seems to me that they would try to go more after the Wrangler.

The prototype bronco from 2004 was pretty cool, maybe they will take design from it

I pulled an 80's Ramcharger out of a snow filled ditch with my 89 Jetta one time, no respect. The rendering of the bronco reminds me of the fj60's.

I don't see that being the Bronco as it is suppose to share the Frame and Axles with the New Ranger from what I was reading, that looks more like an Explorer or Escape Prototype or they can be simply using that for Drivetrain Testing.
