City and towns should have laws on the amount of kids you have, not dogs.

I will only ever own mutts. Nothing pure here.
We only ever get 2 dogs when 1 is on the way out to learn correct mannerism and perk the old one back up for another year or 2.
First dog my parents got before i was born was a husky/yellow lab mix...lived 13 years before we put down because it had stomach cancer
second dog was a yellow lab/husky/german shepard mix....lived 14 years
current dog is 9ish red lab/american pitt

My guy is about 3 months, amazing with people, slowly working him with dogs at the dog park as we don't know many people here. he is getting better. Doesn't bark at all, only when playing. Only issues are biting (puppy stage) and has been begging at the table lately.

Dusty sits, shakes, and working on laying down. Ya he just whines and yips when he wants out of ht ekennel at night of the morning.

Hahah sorry. Come play with him. I would like to get another once this one is a little older.

Be careful with dog parks. Ash did well for the first few months and then started getting attacked by dogs that shouldn't have been there. Developed a fear and it stands today. He is a bit of an asshole now. Great for some dogs, but still an uncontrolled environment.

I was worried about that. He stays right by us as we walk around. He will run ahead then stops at about 6 ft and waits for us.

Our pup never has done good at parks. She got ran over by a few large dogs the first few times and now she takes the defense immediately.

Ben, what is this thing about lime? I didn't know you and Monte shared a keyboard.

My wife has been wanting to get another dog that we can start hiking with. Our current dog is an 8 year old Jack Russel Terrier who's had some rough surgeries leaving him more like a 10+ year old dog. But he gets upset when another animal is getting attention over him. Not sure how he'd feel having to share with another dog.

I wouldn't worry to much. Ash just had some bad luck where a dog would dart straight for him. I had to keep a look out for the people but couldn't always do it. Some dogs respond differently. Yours might just shake it off. Ash has always been a bit of a jerk though. He ripped into Josh's dog when he was a pup because she stole his bagel.

Yeah, now that we actually have places to hike, it would be nice to bring a dog along.

So wait..your saying to yip back when he does it while in his kennel?

Ya dusty got pissed i gave a firends dog a bone when he stayed the night. When dogs at the bark run towards him hes pretty skitish. But I feel thats natural. If some dude ran at me full bore I would cock back to punch him probably loll.
