What is your rear hub to fender measurement with the Dakars? How much lift did they give you?

Also, how is the rear ride quality compared to stock? Very curious how the Dakars perform without a load.

The lift with a degree shim set is supposed to be a 3inch lift . You automatically feel a bit stiffer on bumps, etc. compared to stock during daily driving but I expected that with this set up . Overall I'm happy all I need to do now is match the front :) hope that helps cheers !

I'm going to guess that since the 700lb spring is an option from ICON for those who plan on winches and steel bumpers that he opted for icons spring upgrade.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
That's good to know! I've never seen any spring options on any of the vendor sites, I was starting to think I was going to have to put OME 886s on myself. Do you have to order through Icon, or should most vendors be able to help after I contact them?

Just ordered the stage 4 kit from autoanything.com. They have 15% off right now, you just have to do the live chat or call because the discount code won't work if you type it in.

It is a little stiff but it corners a lot better now and when I take it OffRoad the suspension soaks up the terrian really nice. And yes I do have the AAL.

    icon stage 3 --- BFG ko2 285/60s --- on 18" FN BFDs
Stage 3 installed for 2k miles. AAL is a little to stiff for my liking (yes, I took out the overload leaf). Overall the ride is much firmer but it is great. I am still riding on stock rims/tires but have a set of BFG KO2s in a D rating on the way. I am little worried on how much stiffer the new tires are going to be I know what I am getting into. This Icon lift is the best lift I have ever installed (also the most money I have spent on a lift). My first lift was done in '87 on a '85 Toyota P/U, Rancho 3" w/RS5000s, worst riding lift I have ever owned, or ever ridden in for that matter. Over the years I have done pucks, the "hack up your cross memember" lifts, had a set of Toytec coil-overs on one of my trucks and the front leafs springs on the '85.

For what its worth .... save up some cash, then spring for a good set of coil overs .... the ride is so much better. In my 30 years of Toyotas, 8 in that span, when it comes to lifts, you do get what you pay for.

What's the difference between the tubular and billet UCAs? I can't find any good info to differentiate, everyone seems to be running tubular, and the difference in price is curious to me.

    Anybody know?

If I were to get UCA's again I would go with the billet, you can adjust the camber with them more, right now I have tubulars And I am maxed out on my camber at .5 on each side which isn't bad I would like -.1 if possible and I bet I could achive that with the billet uca's...

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

Engineering issues? You dropped a few thousand dollars based on some posts in a thread 'cause it'll "look totally beast bruh" and pulled of millions of dollars of Toyota's research; and you're gonna complain about engineering issues.

It may be millions of dollars of research but the technology is old, Toyota hasn't touched the Tacoma's suspension since 2005.
