What? What does a truck have to do with handguns? Maybe someone here will care enough to give you a cookie for your striker fired hate

I have a glock G23 with night sights. I usally shoot 150 rounds at a time and never had a FTF . Im in NY so concealed carry is not an option, you lucky southern guys it must be nice. 40 cal has excellent stopping power second only to a 357 mag i believe. I highly recommend glock, im looking at purchasing a second one soon before billery gets in office.

I recently went to a self defense/fundamentals handgun course with about 20 guys mostly retired military and law enforcement all but one guy had a glock 19/17. There is also a reason that the FBI is switching to the 19.

Ill allso add if you get a glock get yourself a talon grip, best $20 ive spent on accessories. My hands get sweaty when i shoot and i found the glock grip to get a little slippery so i bought the sandpaper finish grip and i love it.

I love the Glock 19, but I love the CZ 75 series more.

I've had a G19 for 6+ years now. Very pleased with it. Absolutely reliable, easy to break down and clean and fun to shoot. My son has one along with a G26 and a G43 (these are all 9mm). I have no problems carrying the G19 concealed, but the G26 is smaller and the G43 is smaller yet (single stack). All three of these shoot great for me. Personally, I like having 15 rounds vs 10 or 6.

I'm not a Glock fan, I don't really know why I feel compelled to say that. Maybe I just get tired of hearing about them.

My advice would be to not try and get concealed and home defense with the same gun. I did that with my first gun and wound up not carrying it very often because of the bulk. The next year I got the smaller SW MP Shield to carry, the full capacity autos are just to bulky for me to comfortably cc.

Our home defense is the Walther PPX. Why? My wife loves it, big and super easy to shoot. I shoot it just fine too. The most important thing for me in a home defense gun is her comfort with it. She hated the "feel" of Glocks, I also wasn't a fan though I really wanted to be.

You're welcome to your opinion but would you at least explain it? That way we can all know if you're just a nut or if there is some semi legitimate reason.

I've owned 3 different 19s over the years, loved all of them...and there's always a place for them in my collection

Glocks ain't for everyone, the grip angle is funny...but if you can shoot them there will likely be few to no complaints past that

One of my Glocks has over 10k rounds thru it and still runs like a champ, my 19 doesn't get run that often these days but I know it'll work when I need it to and I know what I'm capable with using it

Not really sure what guns and trucks have to do with each other, other than they are usually found in the same place. But by that logic:

    The F150 is:
Light-years ahead most advanced engine design in 1/2 ton pickup, with a Billion dollars spent on the R&D program. (Not joking).
Most horsepower in 1/2 ton pickup
Most torque in 1/2 ton pickup
Most advanced body construction ever in 1/2 ton pickup
Most advanced frame in 1/2 ton pickup
Best fuel in class gasoline fuel economy in 1/2 ton pickup
Best in class towing in 1/2 ton pickup
Best in class 10 speed auto in 1/2 ton pickup
Perfect crash test rating from all sides in 1/2 ton pickup

In short the most advanced, innovative and cutting edge 1/2 ton pickup ever made in the history of consumer pickup trucks.

And somehow this is bad? And striker pistols suck? Please explain.

Shoot one at the range before buying. I like Glocks for reliability, etc as stated in other comments. One thing I hate about them is the way they extract shells which would not be a concern for a self defense weapon, as for range use I don't personally like a shirt full of hot shells.

Just personal experience I've had with a couple Glock models.

Can't say I have either. At least not the 19. I think I am more likely to get that from my 1911.

Mostly just a nut. The Glocks feel like holding a 2x4 and the grip angle is really strange to me. Striker fired in general (M&Ps, XDs, Glocks and so forth) have a long spongy trigger and reset.

None of that makes a striker fired mechanism suck
