It takes all it needs because it is usually at a small fraction of wide open throttle. When you are cruising at 65 mpg your throttle is limiting the air intake, not needing more.

Who's talking about cruising? You stab it, it will take more. This mod allows MORE, FASTER.

Yes I've always been talking about cruising, and MPG. No one is getting better MPG when they are stabbing it.

I was looking around for a intake tube along with the throttle body adapter from urd. Along with this kit in theory should work great. I might try to make an intake tube.

What's the ID of the stock tube from the air box to the TB?

    I saw somewhere saying it's a 70mm TB. Haven't pulled to see if it's actually 70

That should work. I think making that pipe bigger would actually do more than anything since it looks to be tapered down from the box to TB. Would have to check the box side to see if the hole is the same size as the TB, wouldn't think much gained going up tb if the box is the same restriction. I don't know though. I know the SC guys do swap it but that's a little different story

SC guys with the 5.7 tundras are reporting 8-10 HP gains with this kit alone. First guy to do it was the Michigan Toyota Master Technician I talked about some posts back. I have his dyno sheets on file somewhere in one of my lap tops.

If you guys decide not to participate please send the kit back to me.

I'm not a physics prof or mechanical engineer, but can I throw out some technical terminology to get people riled up again? It makes the thread more interesting.
JK, very interested in the results.

I'm still waiting for the kit to arrive. I really hope it's still in transit and the mail thief didn't strike again....

G Tek, do you have a tracking number?
