good morning everyone! feel like I've been up all night oh well at some point i'll sleep. hope you all have a wonderful day. for those of you in Matthews path get prepared to hunker down. hopefully you all get some sunshine today

Not very motivated today.
I was so comfy in my bed.
Van may be going Monday. Getting raped on it but at least it will get more than scrap.
Get prepared Florida and the coast. Looks like it might kick out to sea before it reaches the north east.
Might check in at noon if I can breathe.

Oh no, you said my least favorite expression. Can't get through a weather forecast without hearing that at least 5 times.

 

'Hunker' is such a strange word. Now I have to look it up:
"It sounds like the most typically American of phrases, but it seems originally to have been Scots, first recorded in the eighteenth century.

Nobody seems to know exactly what its origin is, though it has been suggested it’s linked to the Old Norse huka, to squat; that would make it a close cousin of old Dutch huiken and modern German hocken, meaning to squat or crouch, which makes sense. That’s certainly what’s meant by the word in American English, in phrases like hunker down or on your hunkers."

Another below normal temp day with temps in the low 80's . Tonight the Santa Ana winds return and by tomorrow afternoon triple digit temps return , winds are supposed to be very strong . We've got Red Flag weather thru Saturday

Everyone on the East Coast stay safe from the Hurricane that's approaching

 

Unfortunately, it's the favorite catch phrase of all weathermen around this time of year. It gives no information and makes us sound like a bunch of ignorant hicks.

What a great send off for such a sad event.

 

Now, we are about to go to an open house at the school to help the kids get acclimated to "new normal" before returning to school tomorrow. Lot of councelors, therapy dogs, ministers, and law enforcement.
