Picked up my blue TRD OR DCLB on Thursday. Dealership called it "at dealer invoice", but they also added $520 for "Toyota Dealership Advertising", so I'm calling it $520 over invoice.

That's a legit fee. Every dealer in your region pays that for each vehicle they sell. They won't be keeping that as profit.

There should also be a delivery fee around 900 dollars. Boy, is that going to piss you off...

Ok. Been a LONG time since I bought a new car and back then "advertising fee" was as negotiable as undercoating.

2017 Tacoma DCLB TRD Offroad 4X4, Auto, Tech w/ JBL, Tow, carpet floor-mats, Inferno = $37,747 (excluding ~$2,900 sales tax, ~$600 registration, and $429 doc fee).
According to my math, that is essentially dealer invoice.

I paid just about 38k for my 17 OR DCLB, Tow, auto, tech. I kind of needed the truck, so I didn't push too hard. Only threatened to leave once.

Its just about dealer invoice. I am showing $37,075 for those options but there may be some Toyota fees hidden in your cost that the dealer has to charge.

Yeah. I don't even talk to dealerships on the phone, nor ever walk into a dealership. Email only. For deposit I spent 9 min in dealership, I emailed the guy ahead of time telling him I would only be in the building for 10 min. Not a min more. They complied :)

Yes. I think there's a "Toyota advertising" b.s fee, or a delivery fee in there.

The advertising fee isn't bs. It's a regional fee that everyone pays on every vehicle sold in the region. Your dealer is paying it whether they charge you for it or not.

Fully understood. I personally think it is BS. But that is my personal opinion.

Nope. DC long beds with the manual do not exist in any trim or configuration.

DC = double cab (aka four doors)
And I can't help you with the why question. Toyota has never offered that combination. I would own one if they did.

I feel like that's a lie, but I don't work at the truck plant so I can't say for certain. Moonroofs really aren't that complex of a part to install. It comes from the supplier as a complete assembly that is then bolted to the interior of the roof and then gets plugged in and covered by the headliner.

I agree with you but not sure, just telling you what I heard from my dealership. The dealership was pretty open and honest about everything with me through the buying process and then even on questions after the fact as well.

    I wouldn't say it's a lie. But there's a decent chance it's just misinformation. It happens

Here's mine, picked it up a few weeks ago. Ordered it first week in September with just about everything they offered including the sunroof. My next step is to install an Icon Stage-3 complete suspension kit.
