If it makes O's fans feel any better, that was a Jays team last night that most teams won't beat. That was their best game in 2 months. They stole at least 2 hits with excellent defensive plays. They managed to get a clutch run when they needed it. Their big bats hit timely home runs. Their starting pitching was great. Their bullpen was astounding.

If that team shows up in the ALDS I don't think it will be a quick series for the Rangers.

For the last two months the hitting has been shit, the defense can't seem to get things to 1st in time, and the bullpen has been non existent. None of those issues showed up last night.

    FIFY.

It was one idiot and I'm sure he's hiding in a hole right now while the cops go over the tapes. I'd be more concerned about the racial slurs that his buddies were apparently yelling. That's abhorrent and I'm sure there will be a crack down in the stands for the first home game of the ALDS in Toronto.

For whatever it's worth I've been to multiple games at the Dome and I've never seen or heard something like that.

Sounds like it happened to the Orioles before at the Dome. The Rangers are safe.

The guy must of been an American. There was still beer in the can. No sane Canadian throws away beer for any reason. Plus it was a full strength Kokanee, not some lame American brew, so I'm sure the foreign fellow couldn't handle it.

I don't know if you remember that game but the call was an absolute joke in a close deciding game. That would of happened at any US facility as well. It came after a series of bad calls on the Jays and that would of set off just about any set of fans. Irregardless it shouldn't happen now and I'm sure there will be a police presence beyond measure to make sure things stay tame.

It was probably just some guy who had too much to drink and made a very, very bad decision. I'm not excusing his behavior, but it's not like he's a terrorist. Just an idiot.

Either way that ball would of been called caught. No fans would of argued that either.

BTW I'm just going to say it again because it will come up sooner rather than later in this playoff run for some teams. MLB officiating is a joke and I'm sure the umps collude with each other to decide games based on personal feelings. They aren't even close to being professionals in any sense of the term.

That way of thinking makes sense in the regular season, or in a non elimination post season game. This is an elimination game. I would have had Britton in the 9th, 10th, 11th....I know he's a one inning guy, but this game mattered and your best pitcher should be out there until he proves he starts to struggle. If I'm an O's fan and Britton blew the game I'd at least be able to believe they put their best foot forward. Right now I'd be feeling like dog shit, opportunity totally wasted because they didn't give it their best shot..

I'm not sure why he kept himself out there longer than he needed... If you are hurt why risk not pitching well and losing it for your team?

Toronto managed it like a must win game, and they won. Hats off to Gibbons. I think Buck really was trying to play the chess game too much here. Of course you'd like to use Britton with the lead, but first you need the opportunity to take the lead. Since they were on the road, as we saw, they were literally one pitch away from elimination. I'd rather have Britton making those pitches, lead or no lead, since it's do or die. In this case, the tied innings are actually MORE important than a "closing" inning. There is ZERO room for error when the game is tied. If Britton managed to keep the game tied for 2 or 3 innings, then the O's took a 1 or 2 run lead and they were forced to use someone else to close it out, at least their season wouldn't be over if that pitcher was iffy and gave up a run.

Even if the Mariners would of won Saturday they need the Orioles or Toronto lose on Sunday so it wouldn't of mattered anyways
