    It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
    200+lb bumber and winch def needs 886s right? someone on here recommended 888s at .85 on 5100s, but they are only 3 mm taller and much softer...

    Quick question. I haven't order my ome stuff yet. I know the diff drop is not favored on 3rd gen but, is anyone having to do the boot slide mod with a 3rd gen? Haven't heard anyone say if they had to. I did an ome on my 1st gen and had to do the diff drop and boot slide mod both.

    That would run like a bag of shit that's over 4 inches my god 888 is like 2.75 ish anything over 3 is bad news unless it's a drop bracket which is a snow plow.

    I haven't measured it since they settled like in this pic. Before it settled it was 1" higher in the front. If I had to guess I would say it's within a .25-.50 higher in the front.

    Excellent looking truck! What are these specs again? OME 885 coils on OME 90021 struts with the .5" Toytec Top plate spacer and the driver side spring packer? Nothing added to the rear suspension at all? Thanks in advance!

    OME 90021 front shocks
    OME 885 springs
    OME spring packer on drivers side (probably could have used two it still leans a .25 or so)
    OME rear shocks
    TTFS .5" rear blocks


    884 springs would give you a slight rake in the rear or you could go with a 1" rear block with 885 coils if you don't want it completely level. 1" rear blocks require longer u bolts. To make it even more confusing you could also remove the oem plate (around .2") that's under the leaf springs when adding the .5" block which would probably be close to level with the 884!springs. I did a lot of research before lifting my truck the nose will be about 1" higher in the front until the 885 springs settle. I thought I messed up at first but it turned out nice.

    It looks great, seriously.....and I'm picky. I already have 885/90021 coilovers :) which is why I'm asking. I'll have to get the top plate spacer removed and a 1" block from Toytec. Too bad they don't offer a longer U-Bolt flip kit for the rear leafs. This kit almost makes those 33" BFGs look little!! I'll go with white letters out so we don't get our trucks mixed up ;)

    Excuse the newbie here, but I was looking into lifting my truck (my first truck ever, I done good yeah?) and I'm pretty sure I'll be going with the OME Kit available from Toytec. Saw the coil discussion and figured this would be a good place to ask some questions since it's close to what I want to run.

    Here's what I've gathered so far, please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to learn here.

    Swapping out coils/leaf or adding an "add a leaf" alone can provide lift
    Blocks can be used in the struts and rear leafs to provide additional height, esp if springs settle.
    UCA should also be put in if lifting 2.5"+
    No diff drop is required for a 2.5-3" lift on the Gen 3s
    Rake is having the rear sit a little higher than front to compensate for bed load.

    What I haven't figured out yet is what "setting" the shocks, I saw someone mention setting their bilsteins to 0. Is that for rebound for the shocks? What do the relative adjustments accomplish?

    I've read the Toytec post, and it provided a lot of good insight, but I'm at a more elementary level when it comes to trucks and automotive off-road suspensions. I come from the moto world, so our suspensions are tuned quite a bit differently :p

    Not a problem!! Next time I'm gonna go with a little bit larger tire maybe a 295/75r16 the wheels I want are on backorder I'm holding they will help beef those 33s up a bit.
