Supper tonight is a whole chicken that I put in the crockpot with a bottle of beer this morning, (with gravy made from the drippings) baked potatoes and what are probably going to be the last of the fresh beets from the garden. Been frosting pretty heavy here the last few nights, and even with row covers on top the leaves have gotten some frostbite.

Not eating is just as bad as eating shitty food. If you don't eat it slows down your metabolism.

You need carbs and fats too. Or else your body starts burning muscle for energy.

So fun update on those bedlights, @Pugga
I installed them on Sunday while it was raining (I used the garage). Took me about an hour, probably. And they worked great as a courtesy lamp when you opened the door, but didn't run off of the switch. So I made an appointment & dropped the truck off at Ford this morning to have them programmed in. Left instructions in the drop bag with the key about what they needed to do. Got a call around 10 saying that the truck had a faulty body control module and that they needed to order one in and warranty it. So I asked if they'd tried my suggestion of checking the factory settings to see if it'd work to activate the lights. Gave them a step-by-step with what they needed to do to program the lights, and they just called me back and said that it worked perfectly and asked (probably jokingly) if I was looking for a job as a Ford Service Writer.

It's amazing how dense some of the service departments can be. Ford actually did a fairly good job pre-wiring the trucks for all sorts of add-ons and it seems it's as simple as taking 5 minutes with the Ford tool to activate them.

They did, at that. But it's annoying that they make you go through the service department for everything. I can see it for stuff that's computer-related, but for a simple circuit like a light switch it shouldn't be necessary. Great money-making tool for the service departments, though, I guess.
Although they didn't charge me anything. I didn't mention that I had installed the lights myself, and since they didn't ask....
