Hey all, I was hoping for a little help today. I have been around guns my whole life. I own quite a few and use them regularly. I was hoping to get into hunting now that I have shot close to every other type of target there is. I dont think I can kill Bambi after years of having them around the house at home, but I sure as hell can blast some damn birds. So here is what I need:

I am looking for somewhere local in So Cal ( Los Angeles ) area to go bird hunting. Pheasant, chuckar, quail, something like that. I am a complete newb, so somewhere that offers dogs and bird processing is a must. Looking to go with a buddy for the day. Does anyone here know of a good place to get my feet wet? Driving a few hours isnt a big deal, so throw your favorite place at me. I have done clay and trap, so I'm pretty sure I can nab a bird, but I want to find out for sure. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!!

The only place I know of is "Fin and Feather". Its a hunting and fishing club in Palmdale. They require a membership and hunting is allowed from October through January.

I am not a member but several coworkers go fishing there every weekend. Not sure if they have dogs or process birds.
