    A few things
    Check out the construction trades. It's busy as fuck right now. Not enough people to fill the need. There is also a program, I believe, called helmets to hard hats for veterans to help land a job in construction. some trades are easier than others, but "skilled trades" pay more.

    A few things
    If you do go that route, depending on the trade you pick, prepare to beat yourself up. I'm a fire sprinkler fitter (like a pipe fitter) and I've had back surgery and an elbow surgery. I'm about to go through 2 more elbow surgeries. Money is good but if you are a good worker it beats on you.
