Right now my truck has billys in the front at 2.5 and the rear with Icon aal with 2.0 RR, went to Ocotillo Wells last week and hit a medium size whoop section, they truck did great over them, but the rear could use a little more dampening and rebound, i was wondering if it would help if i put an extra 75 psi of nitrogen in the rear shocks? My friend has a Nitrogen tank at his place since he is constantly revalving his truck.

The nitrogen prevents the oil from aerating and that's about it. If you need more dampening, you're looking at changing out the shim stack.

At least, that's how Fox and King shocks work. I'd assume the Icons are similar.

Icon does a ton of R&D on their products and the valving should be pretty much dead on. Maybe it's time for some hydraulic bumpstops in the rear?

EDIT: How much pressure are you currently running? I keep my Fox shocks at 200psi.

i remember checking my front coilovers once and it read at 60 psi would it help more to have more nitrogen in them like the max amount?

Unfortunately the Icons 2.0 cant be revalved, for almost $400 they should be able too, Good call on the bump stops. Ill look into them, my friend might have some laying around.

not sure ill check them, do you know the max off hand, cause i know most coilovers are around 300psi.

If you lose dampening in your shocks then you're probably either low on pressure or overheating them. Cheap and easy is to bump the pressure to the max recommended. :)

I need friends like that! :p

This is right. I am having a problem with my dampening, so Icon told me to send it in to change the shim stack

The Icon fronts run @ 250 psi, not sure about the rear resi though.
