I have a love/hate relationship with the tool box.

As seen at RC, I have just about anything anyone needed in there. It is great because I get to keep the openess of the bed with dry storage. but loose the full length of the bed.

But I hate it because I want a cap, but don't want to loose the vertical storage of the open bed. I have thought about a cap with a 1.5' platform for storage, but still loose vert space.

    :annoyed:

I almost never haul stuff higher than a cap, but always seem to need something higher than my tonneau cover. The only tall stuff I haul is the occasional brush pile to the dump.

Yeah, it is a rare occasion. But the cap is a major PITA to remove/install everytime. Especially when you don't really have a place to put the cap when off. But you can sleep inside the cap.

True, but i could put it in my garage or under my deck should I need to. If needed, and I cleaned my garage, I could hang pulleys from the ceiling to hoist it off.

Damn, now I really want it.

That was a good one. :D

Some of my better work. The plan was to keep it going until you fully believed it, then come clean, but I couldn't wait.

Hmm... the next gen looks promising as long as Yota follows the same thought process as they did with the 4runner...

That's the only way to do it... hang it from the garage... makes taking it on and off a snap... My father had that for his jeep hardtop years ago...

That is practical. If I really sit down and think about it, I could put a rack ontop of the cap for more storage space, but then I have to figure out where to mount my 102" CB antenna. Or just go with a firestick or something.

I am trying to talk myself out of buying a used cap for the truck. Can I have the $700 that you owe me?
