    yeah, it's coming this year... most new projection tvs are 3d ready supposedly... however there is no standard yet as to how it will work, and you will HAVE to wear some kind of glasses... it's going to be a cluster-fuck of watching the companies try to figure out what way works the best. i'm not excited.

    I was just thinking about this after watching "avatar' i knew it would be coming. I wouldn't mind wearing the glasses to watch 3d tv, as long as i can decide to if I wanna watch 3D or not

    No glasses required. We are putting up our 3D display soon in Best Buy. It's pretty neat. Some of the rear projection televisions are already capable. This technology won't be standard for at least another 2-3 years. Most people are just starting to by a flat panel television in general.

    for a good application they are, the no glasses screens blow... say goodbye to viewing angle and being able to watch tv with multiple people.
