Dropped mine at the dealer this morning for 5k tire rotation and tranny TSB. Also asked them to look at the rear door gasket which drops water onto the seat when it's raining, and the windshield that buzzes in a strong cross wind, but not really holding my breath on those...

Opened my back door and it did that the other day and I just shrugged and said that is definitely a design flaw.

That's about what I'm expecting them to tell me, just thought I'd mention it while it was there already.

Dropped mine off at the body shop. Luckily the offending party's insurance is covering everything, but enterprise gave me a Chrysler 200 to drive in the meantime:puke:

My truck got a face lift last night. One craigslist post later and I found someone to trade a TRD OR grill for my SR5 one. Now I'm debating on plasti-diping it

I didn't shrug when I spent $28K for a 2015 Chevy Colorado that water pooled up in the door sills. I gave 4 different dealerships hell and after listening to GM's customer care b.s. time and time again I traded it off for my new Tacoma. Guess some folks don't let things like that bother them. Pissed me off.

I agree about it being a design flaw. Most vehicles have a water channel that collects and redistributes water as it falls off the roof. The other morning I rolled down my window only to end up with a wet arm and armrest as the water dripped into the cab. Not much you can do to fix the problem other than weld on a water channel.

shit lol. I currently have a subaru legacy that does that when I roll the driver side window down. It all comes pouring in on me and the interior. It did it the other day and I furiously cursed it and said I cant wait for my truck so this never happens again. well, damn.

Most all of these are one version of Gentex mirror or another. Usually just a matter of whether the mounting is compatible and then ensuring it's wired up correctly. I retrofitted one to my wife's 2012 RAV4 a couple years back.

For what it's worth, the "frameless homelink mirror" option in SouthEast Toyota land is the Gentex GENK85A mirror; new version that ditches the black frame. Obviously not the cheapest option for a homelink mirror, but I'm pleased with it. The frameless aspect is kind of neat.
