There's a group buy for the LR ones now on the forum, up to 30% off if enough people join on.

If you decide to go with headers hit up @CaliRedNeck . He has a real nice set up. Truck sounds so dope.

Yeah that's the cotter pin for the castle nut. I'd read up on light racing reviews, before you pull the trigger. They seem to have some numbers in the failure department (bushings, welds, ball joints)... just FYI

I have a full blown exhaust shop at my disposal.

As far as you rattle goes have you jacked your truck up from the lower control arm and tried to move the wheel back and forth and side to side for play in the ball joints/steering rack

I used to sell spc uca's to my customers, but the last two sets I ordered had to have ball joints replaced within 10k under warranty. If you do get LR uca's be sure to save your receipt, they require it for warranties. Personally with the amount you wheel I'd recommend a uniball uca

I've run jba long tubes, DT short tubes, and currently running afe headers with gutted cats(due to them failing). Once I get solid motor mounts and trans mounts I'll be going with Urd spec-u's as far as performance goes I can't seem to find a better header. Can't beat them, they are a long tube header without the long tube low end losses.

yeah, I've done that and there was no side to side play. No play in the lower ball joints either. Popping comes from the passenger side front wheel where the UCA w/the torn boot is when turning.

Hopefully they worked out the issue because I ordered them, watching my spending right now and the price was right with the group buy discount. Only downside is they won't be shipping out until the GB ends in a little over a week.

I'd just save your receipt, in case. They are pretty hard core on requiring it for the ball joint warranty. You'll probably be fine, the two I had issues with were within the last year. The revision they made to them was to repair an issue they had with welds cracking. The one nice thing about them is that they give you more castor adjustment than the non-heimed uniball uca's

Man I may have to buy you that beer I offered so you can share your experiences. I'm mainly looking for sound 'cause headers don't do that much without going forced induction. I saw a dino of a guy running the Spec-U headers and he actually put on 10~15 horse power with just headers and muffler (Spintech).

But without a resonator on the truck it literally sounded like the most horrible rice rocket ever.

    Are you worried about smog?
