So....i caved in and bought the Blackvue DR650GW-1CH 16G dash cam, bought the extra 64G class 10 memory card along with the Power magic pro. All for $390 and change, Canadian. Thought that was a pretty good deal, if I need or want the extra cam for rear facing, I can always add it later on. It has built in WiFi and GPS, just download the app on my phone and Get to fine tune everything and make adjustments, editing, save or delete.
This dash cam was one of the best reviewed products along with Thinkwares version, I went with Blackvue only because the customer reviews were more positive.
So many idiots out on the roads these days I think all vehicles should have these factory installed.
Tried using my Hero 4 GoPro, but it just doesn't cut it as a dash cam.
I Love the idea of the power magic pro as it hooks up to my battery to give power to the dash cam and will record when motion is detected, actually records 10 seconds before motion is detected which is cool, if someone ever decides to bump my baby and then take off, I'll make a copy of it and have a stroll to the police station to report a hit and run.
It would actually be good as a security cam too, while my baby is sleeping in the driveway, arse end backed up to the garage door of course.
Records in full 1080P which I'm thinking will be nice to also use when I go 4x4'in.

I've currently got a DOD LS430W Dash-cam guarding the front. No real complaints about it, except it doesn't cover the rear end. 95% of my commuting time in the GTHA seems to be spent in bumper to bumper grid-lock these days .. and i've already been rear-ended once with a Fab-4's bumper - it didn't work out so well for the other driver, and he wouldn't have gotten far away from the accident scene with his damage. It's the ones that will run (ie side-swipe and bye-bye! - happens more often than you think), that have me reconsidering the rear camera option - and the Blackvue DR650GW-2CH variation is what has been sitting in my Amazon list for a good while now. The wifi connectivity is what has me sold on it.

Have you checked out "Product Reviews" thread, really good write up reviewing different dash cams, I didn't know you can add a rear camera to the Thinkwares f770' I can't add one for Blackvue, it would have to be a designated 2CH Blackvue, did not know that, trying to cancel the order now, thinking I want to go with Thinkware...sigh

Yep they are all up here :D

So in my backyard there is an unlimited amount of trails. You can drive for days, all different levels of difficulty. My wife and I trail our truck as often as we can. I have no lift or large wheels, so its moderate to easy stuff I do currently. Any stock Tacoma can do it.

If you guys ever wanted to plan a weekend event, camp and trail for a few days let me know. I can show you guys some awesome places and trails. The image below with the tent on my truck is at a campground that is on the most amazing trail system in my area, the VMUTS. The camp is http://campconewango.com/

These are both from before I had it vinyl wrapped. It is now matte black with custom ghosted graphic on the back panel.

Think about your setup time when you get to camp and the space you want to have, as well as ventilation when it rains. My cap gets warm as I don't have screen sliding doors but I do have the doors which is nice to get gear. We can be fully set up in 5 minutes.

I'm down. Drive that far regardless lol

I would say it takes us 15 to 20 minutes from pulling into the campsite to fully setup tent and air mattress, but we have never rushed it. We also dont go camping if its going to rain since we have that luxury lol.

On a side note, baby is out. A little girl which came in a 7lbs 12.2 oz and 21.5" tall. Fits in the Tacoma Well with my spouse on the passenger side. Will see if I have any issues, as car seats are quite large these days.

I have done of few mod on this Tacoma. I have the intermittent wiper upgrade (wow Toyota). The powered mirror upgrade and the aftermarket SAT radio addon from VIO Tech. I am planning to add the backup camera and have it go to the deck later.

I am planning no changes to the suspension as I didn't enjoy the 3 inch lift as much as I thought on the 2007 Tacoma.

I have an aftermarket stereo for sale that was in my tacoma. it's a pioneer AVX-3500BHS, with all the addon for bluetooth, steering wheel control and backup camera.

Well congrats on the baby girl!!! That's awesome!!
Why didn't you like the 3" lift? I am actually having a 3-4" lift priced out for me.

Hey boys, came across this site for LED Bars and Pods. Not the brightest out there, but looks really decent and you can't be the prices.

I had the leaf spring recall on the 2007 tacoma, the tech (mech) installed the rear shocks improperly. This led to my factory shock breaking. Because I didn't notice until the shock broke, and had driven from Winnipeg to Ottawa. I decided to replace the factory shocks with the Bilstien 5100. I loved them.

A couple years later I decided, what the heck I'm young, lets lift it. I installed the OME887 in the front with a 0.75 space on the top shock and an add a leaf in the rear.

The truck looked great but quickly I started to get the front wheel vibration. I attempted first to do the diif drop, but it did not work. Then I decided to go with the ECS bearing and so far it fixed my problem with the front vibration. The next issue came with the tires. I could not get the right caster angle with the lift, so I need to replace the UCA's. The next issue came with the rear drive shaft vibration. I played with the angle and even strengthened the bearing, but to no avail.

Anyway after driving my vehicle for many years I test drove this 2013 manual DCSB. Currently I find that I love the ride and the control, but other than the look, I really don't miss the lift.

On a side note, anyone looking for an aftermarket stereo in there 2K5 to 2k9? I have all the parts to do it, and could probably do the install in about an hour.

I also have 4 wheel spacers. 1.25" spidercrawl. 2 are NIB.

Really hit or miss with lifts. Been happy with mine so far but I a guy a wheeled with a while back did the same as you. Took his off due to the issues.

Really like you said it's what's more important. For me the additional load handling was a better trade off than ride. But I would say it rides like a heavier duty truck. Compare it to a 2500.

Well now I'm second guessing myself, would really suck to go through all that crap!
Thought I'd be safe with a 3" lift.
Plan was 5100 bilsteins, 887 coils, OME Dakar leaf kit, LR UCAs and diff drop.

Pretty much same setup except I am running 886's and nitrocjargers all around. No diff drop just carrier bearing drop. I am also running the add a leaf in the Dakar pack. Another guy down the street is running the same setup (except 885's) with the Dakar and extra leaf with stock ucas no issues. Just depends where you get installed and what they can do for you. The shop I went to has done a bunch with no issues that I heard of. Can't say for certain and I was on the fence like you but, I just went for it lol.
