How about it boys and girls?

Never would consider buying a double cab?

Like the 6’ bed and DCLB too long?

Don’t want to or need to carry passengers?

Just like the way it looks?

Want a US built Toyota truck? (all access cabs are built in San Antonio TX)

And some prefer for the old style single cab but this is no longer an option.

Why are you driving an Access cab?

I got 1 just do to the fact they don't make single cabs anymore and couldn't find a reasonable used single cab until after I bought the access cabs now I have both a single and an access cab

No ones azz in the truck but me, myself, and I. Why pay extra for room you don't need? Access Cab works for me.

Love the access cab! The back seat area is a great place to put stuff for dirt bike outings.
My 2 cents the double cab is not comfortable for anyone except kids or a just a place to put stuff.

    It's also, more expensive!!

Access cab for me. No kids and I can carry my stuff with me in the extended cab and in an emergency could stuff someone back there if I had to. And the truck just looks right. If I needed a 4 door and everyone was in the truck where do you stuff the things that need protection. If you're filling up your truck with people you need a minivan not a 4 door truck. It was OK back in the day when you could just toss the kids in the bed and drive off.

Some gear all the time, grandkids some of the time, fishing gear not enough of the time. Like the security, don't need full passenger room.

Love my long bed, but I haul kayaks. Or bicycles standing strapped, tailgate closed.

And this thing has a lousy enough turning capability. I certainly don't need longer and worse.

I would have preferred a double cab, but manual transmission matters to me ... as does the tried and true 2.7L.

I'm hoping my wife can step up to a minivan (has a trouble free 99 civic now) to fill the gaps for me. Otherwise, I will have to upgrade in about 7-8 years.

Its my 3rd Tacoma and all of them have been access cabs. NEED the Long Bed, not even an option. DCLB is too long for where I park it (wife complains about it sticking out already). don't want to park a DCLB....that's one reason I don't have a full size. If my grown kids are riding with me it is fun to watch them cram into the back, especially the one who is 6'2".

I have a 17 Sport Access Cab on order! I have no need for the double cab.

Also I prefer the look of the AC, it just looks more proportional IMO.

    4-6 Long Long weeks......waiting sucks......

Just me and the dog, no reason for more space. Plus nice having a long bed. Tuning the back into a nice dog platform shortly like many others have done!

Ive never liked the looks of a 4 door truck, I don`t need another 4 door with a bed on it, I have a 4 door car.

I agree with every single one of your reasons. Congratulations on your truck!

Post a pic of your dog! Is there a thread for Taco Owners & Their Dogs?

Should be, Trucks and Dogs just go together!

I wanted a bed longer than 2 foot. I don't need to carry passengers. I wanted to be different than 99% of the tacomas I see.

I really like my 2017 suicide door Tacoma, and I’ll post up some pictures of it with the rear seat, headrest and center consul removed and the custom aluminum cover I’ve made to go between the two storage compartment lids. The rear seat delete is a work in progress and next I’ll be making covers for the seat belt latches mounting bolt area and the center consul mounting bracket mounting bolt area
