Is a diff drop really required if you have a 3" lift? I know 2nd gen diff with a drop will actually break while going on the trails. But wanting to know who gots them on their trucks and what's your experience

Have one on mine, haven't noticed any issues... Also have no vibes. Cv is still fine after 10000 miles lifted.

Diff rotater? They're about as effective as 5100s are at anywhere besides the mall.

I'm not running a diff drop, but I am running a 2nd gen carrier bearing drop kit and it alievated about 90% of my vibes. My CVs are fine, no issues. I too am around 3" lift (AP expo leaf pack).

Some people swear they work, others say it doesn't matter.

Seems like it depends on the truck.

At this point who knows anymore. Here's a better question... How susceptible to the placebo effect are you? Some swear it helps, others like myself don't see the need for it, I'm lifted at 3in and with my hubs locked in whether it be at 15mph or 70mph I feel no vibes. My vibes were rear end related and fixed with a shim.
