What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got my pig back Tuesday from the theft repairs. It had been 2 months to the day since the theft. Happy to have my truck back!!!! Going to be doing a bunch of work to it over the next few months. Build in the signature block, come join in the fun!!!!

Ya it has been one of the bigger tests of my patients and anger for sure... Even now I a m still a little angry about some things (not on the truck) but I am doing the best I can to think positive and just move forward. Ultimately yes the insurance fixed it, but they don't cover a lot of the residual stuff. Had to buy an alarm system for the house because my wife was scared of the house, $350. Had to buy an alarm for my wife's 4runner that was also broke into, $650. And as I type this they are installing a new alarm in my truck, $870. Plus a lot of the drama with not having my truck, trips to places with my trailer, the hassle and all that stuff. Then when I asked for diminished value on the truck to offset my losses to truck value among other things I was told they don't do that... They don't make you whole in these situations... You still get left with a big bill and a lot of drama to deal with. It has not been fun... But oh well, what can you do. I'm not gunna let them take my happiness away fro me haha!!!

Installed a remote bass knob. Kinda useless but it's faster then using the HU.

Attempting to fix my post on the light bar while I wait out the hurricane. 32" light bar in the lower grill with rough country brackets. I did have to modify the brackets a little. Install went pretty good.


I wired up the zombie light switch back light blue. I tapped into the tail lights via add a circuit.

Just ordered my jones turbine 2525 muffler

 

I like it. I thought bout doing that when I get around to stereo stuff.

New headlights installed. I like it. Can't wait for bumper to be finished!!
BTW does anyone know where I could find the little plastic piece that pops in under headlight. I need one in Barcelona red & don't know what it's called technically.

 

^^ I dig the looks of that bug deflector. Looks very low profile.

Which one you got?

 

I did mine on the front side of my center console (on the inside). It really helped keep the hidden factory look I was going for.
