Hi all. I wonder if someone here would be able to run a VIN through Carfax, or similar, and PM me the results? My son and I are traveling 80 miles to look at it tomorrow; would like to have the background if possible. It's an 01 4Runner: VIN #
    JT3HN86R919058683

    Thank you!

Thank you Sicyota04. Be assured I appreciate your advice. I will not air details publicly of what I may or may not have discussed in a private message with another forum user.

When I post that I am still looking for help running a VIN number, it is because I am.

He's contacted me via PM. For some reasons, I am unable him help him (or anyone else) right now. If things change, I will be happy to help out. But until further notice, I won't be able to.

I'm looking for some help guys. I'll simplify my language: if you are not on this thread to be helpful, butt out.

OK bro I was messing with you before but you called me on it and I'll help you.

    1. Go to carfax.com
    2. Pay for a report, punch in the Vin, and read the results
    3.???????
    4. Profit

Thanks Sente3. I didn't figure it was my place to post what you advised me via pm, but that will help add context to the thread anyway.

How is that not helpful? Do you need someone to hold your hand through the whole process? Do you need someone to actually do it for you? Stop being lazy and do the work. I gave you the tools.

Ps- I'm shaking in my boots bro

I don't understand this thread?... why are you not able to get on carfax.com and run a report? Or are you just looking for someone to maybe do it for you for free or something?

Yes, for free. Does anyone have a free pass, access, etc to CarFax or similar. If so, please pm me the results.
It looks like there are a couple responses missing in this thread (or maybe that's because I hit the Ignore button for one of our members) so that may add to the confusion of how this thread is reading. At this point I am wishing I had never asked the question to begin with!

Everyone calm down, we're not in the 3rd gen section here. (can I get an :amen:)

@arifleman - It's not Carfax, but apparently it shows pretty much the same info for free; seems accurate for my truck - https://www.vehiclehistory.com/vehicle/land.php Take a look there at the firs several pages (summary and detail), and then I guess you could do (paid) CARFAX if you're still not happy.
