Well. Took off the tent today as winter is approaching. Probably put it back on during the winter though as I might go test it out in the snow. Makeshift lift with 2x4' screw in eyelets and tow straps( not the ratcheting kind though)...oh and all that tacoma stuff below it is for sale except for the cv's lol

You already said what I found at every other site, there are so many mixed reviews to where it's a I do not know. But I only do a usual every other month or so off-roading, basically driving my truck everyday to work or college so she's basically a pavement princess. I'll have to look at my CV's once I install the toytec boss lift.

Is the E-Brake self adjusting on 1st gen tacos?
My Ebrake will pull out a long way and I noticed yesterday that it's not holding well either so I want to check the adjustment.

There's a little hole in the bottom of the drum brake, a rubber plug should cover it, remove it and there's a adjuster ring, use something that rotates the ring for loosening or tightening. Be sure to jack up the back wheels and rotate the wheels so you know much to adjust

The shoes auto adjust but the e-brake cable doesn't.

If your e-brake doesn't engage soon enough, you need to tighten the cable at the adjustment point on the drivers side frame rail, not the drums. Grab a 12mm spanner, it'll take 30 seconds.

Didn't know that, that's what I had to do to my truck when I put new brake shoes on.

It was one of the first rear bumpers i liked. I just checked Craigslist parts like every week and then boom...I see this and I just couldn't let it escape me. Need frame reinforcement plates though. And the guy I bought it from is going to the same college that I hopefully will be transferring to next fall and also in the same degree program I was going to do so I bought a bumper and made a friend for college. Win. Win situation lol

Shoes are different. You have to adjust the tensioners so the brakes work period or they will drag on new shoes. Ebrake cable is where brett said it is.
