    I went with the uniball route after my experience on the trail with a separated ball joint. Don't want to go through that again.

    Yeah probably is just dust/dirt Wash it out real good with some car soap (or simple green) and see. Happened to me before

    Yeah it can make some ungodly sounds and you will think the front end is going to fall apart but dig out some packed in gunk from in there and it will be good as new.

    How would a uniball's be different. If you snap the stud on it you will still be in the same predicament. Maybe worse because you can't do a parts run to town. I'm curios for mys3lf as I will be replacing my ucas soon

    Carry a spare grade 8 bolt and nut with washers and replace for uniballs. Haven't had a uniball disintegrate yet so I guess ill cross that when I get there. I'd guess a couple of sockets and a c clamp would work ok. Try pressing a ball joint on the trail, or drilling it out to put a bolt in to get home. Or in my case convince Brian to goto Dakotas an hour away and replace the stock upper arm on the trail.

    Uniballs are much stronger and allow for more down travel.

    Wasn't the ball stuck in your spindle that was a bitch to get out? Yeah that was a memorable night haha that trip was a record time down and up the trail for me, 45min from the top to the shell station and 45 min back

    Regarding uniballs, I found this from SKF that some other guy had found:


    If it's squeaky, you probably need to clean it or you haven't been maintaining it. I just got mine so we will see how good I am about doing it ;) I should probably wipe them up this weekend.

    Guys, does anyone have info on hunting licenses or tags in Whatcom county?
    I want to go shoot some grouse, how can I obtain a small game license?
    They sell them at Fred Meyers, but is there any tests needed, or is it just purchase and play?
