There's some rated to 300+ pounds and listed as sleeping two. But it's not comfortable.

Husband and I hang usually in 3 trees, along side each other. We've agreed that the comfort far outweighs being right next to each other in a tent. And we'd be in our own sleeping bags even if we were in a tent. So there's no real difference to us. We sit out, share a drink, and talk before we turn in. And we can still chat...

Nice set up. What Taneu cover is that on your bed that works with your racks?

I have the Thule Racks and have not found a cover that works.

    Only of the human kind.

I once had an armadillo rooting around under me. I quietly leaned over and tapped on his shell. Scared the shit out of him. And I got a good laugh out of it!

Then there was the unknown critter that passed under me so close, it brushed the bottom fabric. To this day I don't know what it was. I was afraid it could have been a skunk and I certainly did not want to scare it!

Bringing home our newest addition to the family today! I've already named him Teddy.

There was earlier discussion on the rattle of pintle hitches. I have to say, I have not heard the slightest peep out of this one. I think I can partly attribute it to electric brakes.

A while back, I was researching HD off-road trailers. Originally, I really liked the Moby 1 XTR teardrop (made in Utah). It is a teardrop on steroids with a lot of cool optional features.[IMG]
But after adding all of the options, it cost almost as much as the XTender Canyon, made by VMI Off Road (Bellingham, WA). [IMG]
However, you get so much more with the Canyon. It is a very stout, hard-core trailer. The construction is all welded, marine-grade aluminum. And the base model comes pretty loaded with features. It has a hinged roof, so you can actually stand up in it. It was originally designed like a tear drop with a galley in the back, but they also build them with the galley moved partially inside (with the grilling cabinet on the outside). Check them out and I guarantee you will be impressed!

Here's a good Buying Guide link if you're interested in getting an off-road trailer, but you're not sure what you want.

We did a similar loop this spring. I highly recommend a stay at Salt Creek CG. It's in Salt Creek County Park, just east of Port Crescent.

Also Dungeness County Park at the base of Dungeness Spit.
