literally the only info I could find regarding lengths, it was in the "suspension" section, but likely 2nd gen info due to the ratio of 2nd gens to 1st gens on tw.

fwd can still be fun. Not sure I would ever go back to it though. Unless it was a GTI, then I would consider.

Maybe I'll go test drive the new Toyota 86 in a few weeks when the 4runner is gone.

There is a good road that is windy to really test it on if i want.

Technicaly yea. I have a chevy 2500hd work truck that I use for personal and what not if I want. 4Runner "should" be gone the 19th. Not in a rush to get next rig. Deciding best route to take, whther that is a car vs truck or older vs new.

Right now Tundra and diesel are high on the want list

But the idea of a quick and enjoyable driver car that is awd is tempting as well.

Do you ever watch tjhunt on utube? That edlebrock supercharger on his BRZ seems pretty solid.

If I go car, it'll probably be in the range of an older S4 or something. That way its awd, so can drive year round, still has the power and still a great driver.

I think the 86/brz would be a blast. But if I am going to spend 20kish on a car I can old drive half the year I will go buy a c5 z06 or a c6 or something like that. Even found a 04 r32, hot hatch awd 6 speed and supercharged already. I have a power bug I need to scratch at the moment. That and some decent mpgs is the only reason I am considering a car really. I prefer trucks. More comfortable to me, plus with the new dog the space is nice. I don't go offroad like I used to, just the occasion thing here and there to go shoot/ski play a little.

I drove a 2014 sti the other day, and it was fast and tight, but still not that wow i need this feeling. I've driven newer evo's, a new wrx(which i really was disappointed in) and nothing has done it for me. Even drove my dream truck, am awd Silverado SS the other day, and while it was quick and nice, it just didn't do it.

I've driven a 2nd gen Tundra that was S/C and that didn't even do it, although after talking to some people it may have had a leak and not building the boost cuz it only felt slightly faster then a normal one.

Point being, I just flat out do not know what I want. If I can hold out until Toyota annouces the 2018 Tundra with some new powertrain I would probably order it that day. The current 3rd gen is on the list still, just don't want buyers remorse when the new model comes out.

Same deal with diesels, I love the 2014 and up chevy/gmc duramax. Just is a great looking rig. I don't need a diesel by any means. I just like the power and mpgs they can obtain. Plus tons of space and comfortable for long road trips.

I think saved on my folder online i have like 40+ craigslist/dealer ads for different rigs. Even have an excel sheet slowly narrowing the choices down based on what I want/need.

This..if I did get a brz for whatever reason this would be the first thing on my list.

Although in all honesty, its going to be high on the priority list of whatever I buy. I have a boost need lol.

I see Ben's point though. A drivers car doesn't have to have all the power in the world. If you can fly though a mountain pass at 60mph with 200hp better then the big muscle car with 1000hp then you still win. Handling is half the fun, but having more power never hurts.

I rode in Colton's z06 and that thing had crazy power, but still handled really great and he never had to dig into the power for fun. That being sad launching straigh and hitting 100 was still fun.

i just talked to brain w/ ADS,

He said they really only sell standard, but can do extended if noted on the order, but it is about 1/16th of a gain. they can build custom if you can provide the measurements.

Preaching to the choir. Was mentioning it because of the current topic of boost. Brakes and tires are easy to do compared to boost. Although for a street car it seems silly to go bigger brakes (better pads maybe) since you'd be silly to be out running your stock brakes on dirty public roads... Any tracks near you Ben?
