The JD2 Benders are awesome and I think are still the "poor mans" Industry Standard. They are simple to use once you make some test bends and figure out where your bend actually starts.

If you are CAD savy, there is the Bend Tech software (if you plan on doing a lot of tube work). You basically put in your Die parameters and a couple of other measurements and after you design your tube structure, it gives you exact material cut lengths and where to mark your tube on where to line it up in the Die. Its pretty awesome.

    Good Luck!

Sweet! So a little update- was filling up the gas tank last week and right when the handle clicked I smell gas and see a puddle forming under the truck. So obviously I'm on hands and knees trying to find out WTF is up, all visible connnections are fine, its clearly coming from something on top of the tank, I'm guessing the fuel pump locking ring is broken or loose. sigh.

Been driving around with the fuel light on for the last few days, putting inly a couple gallons in to get me home each time, so that I can drop the tank and find out whats leaking. I might do that today, or tomorrow. That means I can also install my fuel tank skid at the same time, 2 birds right there!

Tomorrow Ill also be pulling apart the drivers side front end to find out whats loose, again. Last month the wheel bearing was toast and got replaced. If the wheel bearing is toast again I'll get the happy fun times of dealing with an ebay warranty, because why is the wheel bearing dead in a month and my passenger side stock one still going strong.

Last time at Pismo my ARB compressor died. After some further reading I think I need bigger fuses. It comes with 40A fuses, but then I read that under full load it can pull closer to 50A. So I'm guessing when I turned it on and plugged the hose in and then dicked around for 5 minutes letting it cycle on and off as it charged up the air hose, it overcame the 40A fuses. NBD if I find dead fuses Ill try 45A or 50A fuse and call it a day.

And last but not least, I need to do another torque check on the whole truck before heading to Hollister Hills OHV this weekend

Ok so front left wheel bearing is toast again. In an email battle with the ebay seller to get a replacement or refund. The thing lasted a month.

So, after struggling with the fuel filler neck and vent line I just dropped the fuel tank to the max those lines would allow and tightened down on the fuel pump ring...on the trail I kept smelling gas as we were bouncing around and at a big off camber spot with a full tank I noticed some fuel leaking off the top of the tank. I'm guessing the pump didn't seat right when I put it in so the ring might be tight but its not fully sealed. So one of these days I'll drop the whole thing when I have the time and reseat the pump and ring with a new O-ring.

And yeah, threw a 50A fuse in the ARB wiring and it runs no problem now! Weird that ARB includes 40A fuses with it but under full load it pulls closer to 50A!

No real updates. Was super lazy this week off and didn't do shit to the truck. After bouncing around Hollister 2 weeks ago I confirmed that I have fuel leaking from the pump ring. So I'm gonna order a new O Ring and Pump retaining ring and drop the tank maybe next week or something. Depends how motivated I'm feeling.

Still waiting on my new wheel hub to show up, probably gonna have a shop actually do the work since I need to get my CV axle end replaced at the same time and I don't wanna get stuck midway install when I can't get the axle apart or back together.

Finally Installed the 50" Radius bar on the roof. No night pics of the output, but holy shite it is bright! Used the relentless roof mounts for it....my only gripe is the way the flex and touch the roof...got a nice little scratch on the roof before I realized that's what was banging...threw some double sided tape up where it rubs just as a buffer for now. Also tightened everything up even more, maybe it was just a hair loose and allowing it to flex a bit

Also, my Bender and Notcher showed up! Waiting for some more fundage to order a couple dies for the bender. JD2 Model 3 Bender with Stand. And Baileigh Notcher off of Amazon. Gotta clean up the garage some more and build some new storage so I can move one of my shelves out and put a big weld bench in to mount some shit to it.

In laws new offroad van means I need to step up my EAF stuff lol. Gotta look in to some Rotopax soon and get my regear ouy of the way after turnaround.

Trying to decide if I want to try to fit the water stuff somewhere in the bed and then just run some quick disconnects somewhere easily accessible, OR put it all in a box, witu disconnects on the outside of the box and just run some power wire to a connection in the bed.

Also need to work on getting some skids made, asap

I picked up the Coleman portable hot water heater, but its pretty bulky and heavy. After last time I went to use it and realized the 5 gallon Coleman container its recommended to be used with has different effing connections, I wanted something else. I decided since I bring my 5 gallon container with me anyways, might as well just use that to draw from and someone recommend just boiling a gallon or two of water and dumping it in the cold water to at least be able bathe with lukewarm water lol

I'm thinking of pulling a hot water line from the engine to heat a tank in the bed. Probably put in a pair of 5 gallon tanks for water, one heated and one not.
