Thanks bud! The wind and rain just picked up about 15 minutes ago. Supposed to get the brunt of it from 10pm to 6am...

Wasn't too bad in Jax besides the storm surge at the beach. Oh yeah and no power suxz

 

I'm really hoping the thing continues to weaken. I'm concerned at about a 4 out of 10. I've never been through anything like this before...except a typhoon in Okinawa. I'm pretty sure we will be safe. I just worry about high winds knocking down trees onto the house and such. We'll see. We are set with food, water, ice, guns, and ammo.
I'm sure we'll lose power...the question is for how long. Y'all stay safe! Some places are gonna get really bad.

Power out here until at min Sunday at noon they said...tally is over 166K people without power just in Duval county as of now

 

Yeah that's only 2 miles from me. Just over the bridge. It's flooded about 2 blocks back from the ocean.

Yeah, a long-term power outage would suck. We have a gas cooktop, so we will be able to cook. And I have the BGE and plenty of lump. As long as the water keeps flowing, we will have hot water because we have gas powered tankless hot water. No AC is gonna suck monkey nuts.

 

Done with my meeting. Sitting in DFW and my two day buzz is starting to wear off.


Was able to get an earlier flight with no fees due to hurricane.

I am just happy I have been freezing Tupperware full of water since Monday so I have like 30 huge ice blocks. My entire deep freezer is nothing but ice blocks to keep things cold
