For those that have put the back tailgate insert letters on, did you get the matte black, or the piano black? Or is there even a difference?

Thanks dude and likewise! I'm piecing the kit together and will upgrade over time. To start I'll have Low Range spacers for the front, all the linkage/diff drops, and Deaver Pack for the rear. In a month or so I'll throw on Icons all around.

For tires I'm considering Hankook DynaPro MTs but not quite sure... Any suggestions? Sticking with stock wheels but adding spacers btw.

In my opinion I prefer some of the aftermarkets some just look more appealing to the custom look of the truck. Thats why a truck is what YOU make it. But its not a ugly part its just a hot item right now.

 

Just think where is the truck being used wheeling and tire long-term and finally your buget . For me I drive 40miles a day to work and go wheeling some weekends in the northern N.Y. over rocky terrains. So what I went with was ToyoAT's 265/75/16's

 

Looks great! Was it difficult to line up everything? Are those the self adhesive ones? Or the vinyl one like window tint where you use soapy water/squeegee.

I have the self adhesive ones, I'm thinking it may be like you got one shot to get it right. Once on, there on straight or not.

 

does it rub? and did you do a cab mount chop?

No rubbing at all. I have about an inch when fully turned. May need to do some minor trimming when offloading but that's about it.

 

I picked up the decal from the local Toyota dealer, it is an OEM part, paid 75.00

It was very easy to apply. Yes more like the window tint apply with some soapy water really easy. Just be careful when peeling off the backing they are very sticky you could easily have them touch and stick together. I didnt have any issue went on nice first time.

 

here is a picture of my white off road, ohhh wait no picture available yet 17 off road with manual transmission and some trd pro goodies on the way. cant wait to get it, should arrive last week of November you guys are making me jelaous posting all those white beauties i also hope that the 2gen fellows don't get upset im trading a 2gen for a turd gen haha
