Folks. Love you truck. Yeah some people have more problems than others but it seems that just not the Tacoma is faced with issues. Ptoblems will be fixed and TSBs issued. Check the Colorado forums. Same deal. Tons of issues. Watch this video of a new diesel Colorado. Makes me so happy that I got a Tacoma!!

Just did my 10k service. I've towed a car, hauled motorcycles and done some off-roading. Truck is still running like new with ZERO issues.

People would probably feel better if someone didn't feel the need to make a thread like this every other week.

You bought a truck based on an 8 year old design at that point in time. This new generation, like any other new model vehicle, is going through a shake down, working out the bugs. The issues will be resolved, as painful as they are currently for owners impacted by them.

Exactly, instead of bashing how about a thank you so in 2024 you can get a sorted out problem free new 3rd gen tacoma, this is my 5th one, the first with as many issues, most small, one big. But after a call to Toyota Customer Care I will remain a customer based on how they handled it and treated me. Give it time the 05's had a few quirks too.

Yea Colorado's have problems just like Tacoma's but they have a much better motor plus the diesel option.

I looked on the colorado forums over a dozen times throughout the past year and I never once saw more complaint threads on the Colorado Forums than we have at any given time on the Third Gen TW forum.

As far as issues being resolved, I feel Toyota has not stepped up their game in issuing TSBs nor approving the dealers to resolve the issues in a timely manner. The dealer culture seems to be to find any excuse they can to refuse warranty work on many of these problems with the all too common "it's normal for the vehicle" or "we couldn't replicate the issue"

This guy in the video with the colorado -- at least the dealer fixed his problems.

Who do you suppose has the bigger base of enthusiasts that like to get online and talk about their vehicles, including the problems they experience with them?

Ugh god that thing is ugly. Im not truck racist (well maybe a bit) I prefer to call myself a fanboy, but my god that thing is hideous looking. Adding a bull bar? ugh yuck IMO. I feel like that is the truck you are gonna see rolling down the road with every single O'reilly / Auto Zone aftermarket part attached to it. Including the glue on hood scoop lol

I'm definitely not a lift snob, but the dude goes with blocks and spacers off of ebay and is surprised he already has an issue? ok

"Its been a good truck though, except this, and this, and this, oh yea and this"

    Pretty funny

I'm not a fan of the GM bathtubs either, but at least they seem to come with hood lifts which is no big but one less mod to di I guess. Still don't want one.
