St Augustine is flooded bad. The first responders have so many calls they are having to prioritize. The rain seems to be pushed North giving people a chance to get rescued.
More reports out of Hati, dead toll rising above 800. All the coverage and support is going to Florida/GA/Carolinas, so they are in for a rough recovery.

Make sure everyone has a waterproof flashlight. This thing is coming at night and the power will probably go out. Keep rain gear, boots and a bugout bag close at hand. Make sure everyone can travel within 30 seconds and that they know where all the exits are. Practice now.
Stay safe Scott, our prayers are with you.

8pm track is out. Same wind speed, pressure and trajectory. Some of the models are showing a straight impact around Savannah, with no turn to the East. Most models and the NHC track still show the storm starting a sharp East turn about 6 hours from now. We will have 2 updates during that time.
I think the NHC has some of the best storm trackers in the business, but their chart wasn't accurate until the storm started up the Florida coast. You can see the chart timeline here: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2016/graphics/al14/loop_5W.shtml
That doesn't mean you should not believe what they post, just don't put yourself in danger because of it. Just because the storm is forecast to turn doesn't mean it will.

Small shark swimming the street. I guess that is just one more reason not to wander out into the floodwaters

    Check The Build Thread
Been following this thread all week. I'm just north of Savannah inland of Hilton Head in SC and it's really picking up now. Power flickered twice but it's still on...same with cable and internet.

We're scheduled to get shit on from 10pm to 6am...so we'll see what it looks like outside in the morning.
